Vélez Blanco es uno de los pueblos más pintorescos de la provincia de Almería. Se encuentra en la comarca de Los Vélez, casi en el vértice superior de la provincia almeriense y muy cerca de esa especie de gozne de unión que existe entre tres comunidades y cinco provincias: Murcia, Almería, Granada, Jaén y Albacete.
Cuenta con el Castillo de los Fajardo, es una fortaleza gótica y renacentista erigida en el siglo XVI. También destacan la Iglesia de Santiago, el Convento de San Luis y la Cueva de los Letreros, en la que se encuentra el Brujo y el Indalo, pinturas rupestres del Neolítico tardío o Edad del Cobre que representa una figura humana, y que se ha convertido en el signo de la provincia de Almería.
La paroisse, dédiée au martyr saint Étienne, existait déjà sous ce vocable au XIIIè siècle.
Vers 1380, existait à Saint-Étienne-d'Avançon un prieuré qui rapportait 20 florins. Il fut uni à la cure avant 1516 et le curé prit le titre de prieur-curé. L'archevêque était collateur de la cure et partageait la dîme avec l'abbé de Boscodon et le prieur-curé.
En 1664 une bergère, Benoîte Rencurel, eut des visions et des entretiens avec la Vierge, qui lui ordonna de faire élever une église en son honneur au hameau du Laus, sur l'emplacement d'un petit oratoire construit en 1640, sous le titre de Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Rencontre. Mgr Georges d'Aubusson de la Feuillade, archevêque d'Embrun, fit commencer la construction de cette église en 1668 et y fonda un couvent où il établit les jésuites. Son successeur, Mgr Charles Brûlart de Genlis, la fit terminer et plaça en 1712 cette maison sous la direction des missionnaires de Notre-Dame-de-Sainte-Garde. Ce lieu fut très rapidement le but d'un pèlerinage très fréquenté.

Magic exists... Who can doubt it when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars?
Une église y existait dès le 10e siècle et une obédience y est mentionnée au début du 12e siècle. On en conserve l’église et une partie des bâtiments du doyenné, l’ensemble datant probablement de la fin du 11e siècle mais remanié à l’époque gothique. La nef de l’église est romane avec ses trois travées plafonnées et ses baies entre contreforts plats. La façade occidentale en est la partie la plus intéressante avec ses trois arcades entourant le portail et les triplets de bandes lombardes de sa partie haute. Un arc triomphal brisé ouvre sur le chœur gothique du 13e siècle présentant deux travées voûtées d’ogives et un chevet plat. On y découvre des culots sculptés et des fresques anciennes. Le clocher au nord du chœur est également du 13e siècle, rehaussé au 19e siècle, mais les baies géminées à doubles colonnettes du premier étage respirent encore le style roman. Des bâtiments du doyenné sont conservés : l’ancien logis au sud de l’église avec une façade gothique, les vestiges de deux porteries de l’enceinte et une grange romane remarquable divisée en trois nefs par des piliers. Sur la commune de Jalogny existent également les vestiges de deux chapelles anciennes difficiles à trouver, Saint-Pierre et Saint-Nizier, et l’église romane de Vaux.
Color does not exist, but is created in our brains. In order to see color we need light, an object and our eyes. Color arises in the presence of light. Whenever light falls on an object, some of the rays are reflected by the object and the remainder is absorbed. The part that is reflected, determines the color.
Our eyes cannot perceive the light that is absorbed by an object. An apple, for example, absorbs all colors, except green. Because the green is reflected and is captured by our eyes, we see the green color of the apple.
The most ideal light for seeing color is diffuse daylight, when the sun is more or less behind the clouds and it is slightly rainy. This produces the most truthful colors.

I found this ghostly looking packing in my kitchen. Some of my friends say ghosts live in old houses. When I was a boy, I was dreaming to see a HARMLESS ghost.
I had a chance to live in a place where people believe a ghost (old lady) exists. Unfortunately, I did not see the ghost, but my friend saw.
I've never seen a real ghost in my life. Still, I do NOT say "Ghosts do not exist."

Kade and I explored Sol a few days ago and vowed to return to capture the beautiful photo opps that were waiting. I truly fell in love with this sim, it has such a draw to me starting with the fact that I wouldn't have even had to change WL as it uses my fav to begin with. It has a mixture of a water color feel to it yet it has a hazy feel that leaves you feeling like you've stepped back in time. Flowers? Got em. BIkes? Got those. Beautifully placed features? Mmhmm most definitely. Love the stone buildings, Light houses? Indeed. Character ? Yep .. in spades. All beautifully done ... and so much more. Cannot wait to snap and hoard more photos ..lol.

St.Perer`s Church in Malmö Sweden-
Was probably founded at the beginning of the 14th century.Although no documents bearing this out exist tuday,we do know that when the Chorch was first mentioned in 1346 it had alredy been consecrated for divine worship. It was dedicated to St.Peter and St.Paul.
St.Peter`s Church has a triple-aisled nave with transept and ambulatory.All of it is built in the so called Baltic Gotihic style. Its closest prototype would appear to be St.Mary`s Church at Lubeck.The exterior of the Church is distinguished by its flying buttresses and elegant arches soaring over aisle and ambulatory alike.The tower was given its present apperarance in 1890.Grouped around the main building are several additional erections.To the north of the tower lies the Baptistery or Merchant`s chapel (Krämarekapellet),beloning to the 15th century.To the south lies St.Anna`s chapel,built around 1500 and dedicated to the mother of the blessed Virgin Mary.

A fortress at the site possibly already existed during the time of the Great Moravian Empire in the 9th century. From about 1055, Znojmo Castle served as the residence of a Přemyslid principality within the Bohemian March of Moravia and a strategic important outpost near the border with the Bavarian March of Austria in the south. The royal city of Znojmo was founded shortly before 1226 by King Ottokar I of Bohemia on the plains in front of the reconstructed castle. The town privileges were confirmed by King Rudolf I of Germany in 1278. From the opulence of Eliseevsky grocery store, Alla (our guide) took us to Arbat Street, a pedestrian street in the historic centre of Moscow. The Arbat has existed since the 15th century, making it one of the oldest surviving streets of the Russian capital. Originally the street formed part of an important trade-route and was home to craftsmen.
In the 18th century, the Russian nobility came to regard the Arbat as the most prestigious living area in Moscow. Almost completely destroyed in the great fire of 1812, the street was rebuilt In the 19th and early 20th centuries. In the Soviet period, it housed many high-ranking government officials.
Now it has been gentrified and is considered a desirable place to live. Because of the many historic buildings, and artists who live and work here, the Arbat has become a trendy part of the city.
We ended our visit at a restaurant where we had a meal of dishes from southern Russia. There was music and entertainment, and the most divine food, sweets and Turkish coffee.
I'm suspended, where night and day are skimming, and there're no human breaths, deafened by voices from a faraway world that no longer exists.

Perhaps this village derives its appellation from the fragrant flower ‘thazhampoo’ or the screw pine (as it is called in English)-once used by the women of Madras to adorn their hair or in their wardrobes to make their clothes smell better.
Il existe des milliers de variétés de dahlias, souvent hybrides. Les fleurs offrent une grande variabilité de couleurs (toutes, sauf le bleu !) et de formes (petites, grandes, simples, doubles, à pétales plats, incurvés, enroulés, dentelés...).

Canadian Geese goslings.
Two sizes of Canadian Geese exist. A small 22 to 26 inch and a large 35-45 inch version. They have a brownish body with a black head, long blackneck and which cheeck patch. The smaller version has a shorter neck and lacks the cheeck patch.
They inhabit lakes, bays, rivers and marshes. They often feed in open grasslands and stubble fields.
They range from Alaska each to Baffin Island and south to California, Illinoise and Massachusetts. They winter south to northern Mexico and the Gulf Coast. Widespread as a semi-domesticated bird in city parks and on reservoirs.

"La stratégie soutenant ma démarche artistique a consisté à abstraire l’escalier de son cadre architectural pour le faire exister de manière autonome comme œuvre d’art offerte à l’expérience esthétique. Recontextualisé à travers une nouvelle configuration sculpturale, l’escalier cesse d’être un objet utilitaire, mais conserve ses qualités d’appareil circulatoire permettant le mouvement des êtres humains.
Offrant différentes trajectoires de circulation, Dendrites encourage l’ascension active. Lorsqu’un passant gravit l’escalier, il rencontre nécessairement une bifurcation, où il doit prendre une décision. La pensée dans le cerveau se forme par la transmission d’impulsions électriques au sein d’un réseau de dendrites neuronales, un peu comme le grimpeur dans la sculpture découvrant les structures de son monde. D’un bout à l’autre de l’œuvre – comme une impulsion dans le cerveau, qui voyage d’un neurone à l’autre – le promeneur gravit les marches de l’escalier et s’aventure dans la sculpture, en relayant sa présence à celui du tronc lui faisant face de l’autre côté de la rue Notre-Dame, et aux édifices avoisinants".
