Oh my, did I have an exciting day today! Our cousin is soon to celebrate an early March birthday which qualifies her for the association with Pisces. Just a few days ago I ordered my first on-line seal which miraculously arrived today! I just read up on the colors for this particular occasion, and seems like, without realizing it, I selected a good choice! The seal contains a sun, surrounded by the Zodiac signs for the months.
Once again, I dove into my husband's *doodle* files and came across the fish which were sketched in black and white until he *fished* out some colored pencils! LOL . . . Oh, do we have fun playing and coordinating our shared love of lettering and correspondence!

Gazing across Lake Geneva from Lausanne, the view extends toward France. Amidst this picturesque scene, I unexpectedly encountered a joyful group of schoolchildren waiting to embark on an exciting outing.
nothing to exciting today. freezing cold out. it was 0F degrees this morning when i left for work. hard to get the motivation to go back outside in the cold after i been in the warm car.
What an incredibly exciting day it's been already, and it's only 1:00PM. I just put the finishing touches on two trips: one to Boston in May to visit my mom; the other to Iceland in early November with my girlfriend.
I'm also trying to figure out if I can work in a return to the Lofoten Islands (where this photo was taken) in December or January. I feel like there's a lot more to explore than the small area we shot during last month's trip.
One thing's for sure: I use up ALL my work vacation EVERY YEAR. Someone new at my company recently asked me, "What happens when you max out on vacation?" I said, "I have NO idea whatsoever." :)
I've had a busy but productive and pretty fun weekend. I hope yours is going well. The weather here is just spectacularly beautiful, so I'll probably go find a quiet spot at sunset and snap a few frames.

Exciting though top and tailed loco haulage is on the Cumbrian Coast this is how I remember it and, to be honest, prefer.
Approaching Sellafield station a class 108, 56227/50960 pick their way along the undulating trackwork as the signaller watches the arrival. The train was the 17.55 Carlisle to Barrow service for which no passengers were waiting.

Exciting day for Swanage in Dorset today, Tuesday 13 June 2017. The volunteer-led Swanage Railway runs its first diesel-hauled passenger train into Wareham station. There will be four trains a day in each direction between Wareham, Corfe Castle and Swanage. The original rail line was closed by British Rail and ripped up in 1972. Ok, its really "coral" but that is a more lively variation of pink!
I wore this excitingly clingy split midriff mid-length dress out to a get together at the Lodge in Booneboro, MD back in October of 2015 where I had a great time with a fun group of trans-ladies and friends!
My ensemble for the evening is based on this incredibly snug fitting shirred coral lycra spandex wiggle dress with an open midriff from greatglam.com. I've matched it up with my Hanes Alive Barely There support hose from onehanesplace.com and my red satin ankle strap open toe sandals with the 5" heels from fredericks.com.

An exciting new find for me, to find this fungi in a graveyard was particularly apt! The beautiful orange fruiting bodies of this fungi are just the end result, it's mycelium infects caterpillars of moths and butterflies as they bury themselves to pupate. The fungi develops on the living host until there is enough organic material to allow it to fruit, send up these impressive spore distributors through the surface.

How exciting--a new fabric store opened just up the street from me, and it's so pretty and awesome! I have to go back and make some purchases (this might just happen tomorrow). They have all the new Amy Butler fabrics (plus others, of course) and a few books and notions. They also have six sewing machines in the back, and one of the women in the shop said they'd be offering classes soon. Perhaps I'll have to learn to use a machine--I would like to make myself some skirts.
No felt for sale yet, but they did say that they might have some at some point. I'll cross my fingers.

Join in with an exciting, free public art trail that will add colour to the streets, parks and public spaces of Newcastle this summer!
Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne is presented by and raising funds for St Oswald’s Hospice. The charity has partnered with creative producers Wild in Art, Shaun the Sheep creator Aardman and Headline Partners Newcastle City Council to bring you a ewe-nique art adventure that the whole family can enjoy.
Following the success of Great North Snowdogs in 2016 and Elmer’s Great North Parade in 2019, St Oswald’s Hospice’s third art trail celebrates the support shown by their community throughout the pandemic. From now until Wednesday 27th September 2023, Newcastle city centre and surrounding areas will be transformed by the arrival of 45 super-sized sculptures, inspired by the much-loved star of film and television, Shaun the Sheep. Located alongside some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, each Shaun the Sheep sculpture has been uniquely designed by artists from the region and beyond, providing a fun, family-friendly art trail for locals and visitors to follow.
A series of smaller ‘Little Shaun’ sculptures, adopted and painted by schools and youth groups, are also displayed as part of the adventure, at indoor venues across the city.
A trail map and App are available to navigate avid art adventurers across the accessible trail, helping you discover each sculpture and unlock a series of rewards and milestones.
Whilst exciting and inspiring people of all ages to celebrate our beautiful city through creativity, the trail hopes to increase public awareness about hospice care and its importance and impact on our whole community. When the trail ends, the super-sized Shaun sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for St Oswald’s Hospice.

45 Big Shaun sculptures and 70 Little Shaun sculptures inspired by the much-loved star of film and television, Shaun the Sheep have taken over the parks and streets of Newcastle upon Tyne. How many can ewe find?
Exciting times ahead, as over the coming months we are due to take delivery of our very first ‘brand new’ bus complete with that factory finish ‘new bus smell’!! In the meantime, we have this rather lovely E400 MMC on loan from Alexander-Dennis for driver familiarisation.
It's been an exciting couple of days! Albert and I discovered these large green caterpillars while we were walking with our dog Honey. I took at bunch of shots and started the discovery process. Our books got close, telling us they were the larvae of a Sphinx Moth. But none of the varieties they showed matched ours detail for detail... the "white eyes" pattern along the sides, the multi-colored striped "knee socks" on their legs, the two-tone green body and large dark "eye" on the head.
So I sent this picture out to my experts. Thanks to Linda Evans we know they're Ello Sphinx Moth caterpillars! Looking at my series of shots, I can also add that their face looks like a manatee's and their abdominal end has two grasping "fingers" for moving along the stem.
Many articles showed Sphinx caterpillars without the brown "eye spot" on the head but ours clearly had it. When we returned to visit them in the next day, I watched one of them close the segments before and after the "eye" covering it up. Quite a wonderful way to become even more invisible to hungry predators. Even once we knew exactly what we were looking for and which plants they were living on, these green striped caterpillars were hard to see except in the bright early morning sunlight.
The Ello Sphinx moth has colorful hindwings and camouflaged forewings. Common in Florida and the southwest, it sometimes strays far to the north. Larvae feed on papaya (Carica papaya) in the Caricaceae family and on Cnidoscolus angustidens and other plants in the spurge family (Euphorbiaceae) including poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima), guava (Psidium species) in the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) and on also saffron plum (Bumelia angustifolia/Bumelia celastrina) in the Sapotaceae family. Manilkara bahamensis has also been reported as a host as have Willow Bustic (Bumelia salicifolia) and Painted Leaf (Poinsettia heterophylla).
They are feeding on Nodding spurge (Chamaesyce nutans). Nathan Taylor has updated me. He says the host is Euphorbia hypericifolia. Thanks.

I would say that the most 'exciting' bird that we saw while in Sierra Valley was this Golden Eagle. As we approached it while driving I kept saying that is one big bird and, of course, as we got closer it kept getting bigger & realized it was certainly an eagle. I stopped the car when we were facing it's back then decided I had to drive past it to get the sun in our favor. I drove past it a ways, stopped the car and it allowed all three of us to get out of the car, take pictures before it flew off circled around and then flew over us again...that was exciting!!
Exciting day today. Bought a new bike so I can ride around Shanghai and explore taking more photographs. Rode it to the bund then.

This is my 16th year covering this fun festival filled with color and pageantry and beautiful people. Each year some of the regulars return and sometimes fresh new faces appear to join the eclectic Renaissance Family. Some are vendors or employees, and some customers dress up to fit in with the renaissance festival fun and its 16th century way of life. One big happy family of a few thousand escaping the dull drums of their daily life for a few hours. This year's crop of new faces was lovely. Hope you enjoy the images. I try to capture their joy. Always fun, festive, very colorful and exciting!

I have to admit this is probably not the most exciting photo to view . However it is significant for me as its the first time I have photographed three countries on one shot . It is also my first attempt at stitching together three images
This was taken at Chiang Saen overlooking the Mekong River . The area has the unofficial title of the Golden Triangle On the left is Thailand in the centre Myanmar and on the far right is Laos . Anybody else managed to get three counties in one shot there must be other places ion the planet were you can achieve it
As for the stitching I forgot everything I was supposed to do including using a tripod but Photoshop managed to combine the three images fairly well . So the Adobe product deserves all the credit .
