Cambridge fence.
I spotted this railing while walking along the Backs in Cambridge.
I love rust! (... and perspective and blur too, clearly.) (Hmmm...how can you love blur clearly? :) ).
Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Fence Friday :)
[Handheld in daylight.
Developed simply in Capture One, mainly to emphasise the blue in the fence paint and take down the greens a bit.
Sharpened with Unsharp Mask in Affinity. Added a gradient mask to the bottom left corner to take down the brightness. Avoided a vignette to retain people, top left.]

Looking out the window while driving toward Darwin, California, i saw this. It took me a couple seconds to recognize what it was - only in Darwin!

WAMX 5900 is posing on the railroad bridge over Crosby Ave in the "West Yard" of the Wisconsin and Southern's Janesville terminal. It's working what I believe is the day's Y301, the yard job that is in the processing of making up the evening's T5 to Madison and T3 to Horicon, and T1 to Chicago, and will soon have an inbound T6 from Madison to break down.
WAMX 5900, a former NS GP59, is one of the newest members to the evolving Wisconsin and Southern Railroad roster. The distinctive wide-dynamic brake unit locomotive units led to much rejoicing amongst the railfan community when they emerged from MEI in St. Louis in the sharp WSOR Red and Grey instead of Watco Black and Yellow.
However since arriving a few months ago it and a sister, 5901 have remained pretty captive to Janesville, apparently planned for RCO and switching service in the yards and undergoing testing. I don't think I've personally seen photos of them running outside a yard on their own, but perhaps such photos do exist and I'm just not aware. Supposedly a few more are planned, and hopefully they at least occasionally find themselves on some of the WSOR's other locals while still this clean and sharp!

As written previously some strange encounters and experiences only hit the full impact mark with some delay.
On a recent event I was viciously struck, once again, by the fact how people are trying so hard to stand out from the crowd.
Clutching for recognition haunted and conforming to some distant paradigm.
In an almost perverted way of begging for attention, they act just merely all the same…
Waiting for a miracle to get noticed, dwelling around (could be a side effect of too many mojo-cocktails though) with eyes closed to their own originality.
Peculiar fact: they want to stand out and simultaneously being simply slightly different from the crowd terrifies them …
Exhausted by too much conversation, by all those attempts to come up with jokey and lively epigrams as the hours and the evening evolve, they seem to fill less and less the room, a kind of emptiness silently surrounding them. Awaiting some miracle solution or advice on how to navigate the crowd.
Wouldn’t it be more simple, every now and then, just to merciless avoid the crowd and just stand tall, against the wind …

~ Pineal Crystals ~
There are events taking place right now as the physical body re-wires, especially in the brain. The physical body is evolving and one of those changes is taking place in the pineal gland, although is not limited to that one location. Crystals are forming in the pineal gland; these are crystalline structures that you call calcite crystals which are forming in the brains of humans everywhere...read more:

Beauty before the beast.
Church of Mykonos
There are literally dozens of small churches scattered around Mykonos, all with their snow-white exteriors, and often with small colorful domes. But the most iconic of all is Panagia Paraportiani, dating back to the 1400s, found facing the sea at the entrance to Chora (the location is reflected in the name, which means “Our Lady of the Side Gate”). It’s considered a perfect example of Cycladic architecture, and is classified as a national monument. Unfortunately it’s usually closed, but the main attraction is its exterior anyway. Its asymmetrical shape is due to it actually being five tiny churches squeezed together -- four below and one above. At the center is the church of Agios Efstathios, surrounded by the churches of Agia Anastasia, Agios Anargyros (the first one to be built, in the late 1300s) and Agios Sozon, and with the Church of the Virgin Mary standing out at the top with a dome.
In its surroundings, you may bump into the island's mascot, Peter the Pelican.
I've taken a few more shots like these in the past but a recent photo I've stumbled upon by someone else inspired me to take another one.
Meander through Evolving Gardens for a wide variety of outdoor and gardening items. There are exquisite and tranquil landscaping plants, flowers, bridges, and waterfalls. Experience the beauty and intrigue of nature among the many paths throughout. Explore far enough and you will even find a place for Tia Chi and mediation.

Friends,
I will be spending far less time on flickr than I have in the past. I will continue to post my pictures and visit your streams from time to time as my schedule permits, but I have far too much going on in my life to devote the amount of time as i have in the recent months. I hope that i will continue to have the many friendships i have made and hope you will understand if i visit your photo streams less than l have to this point.
Anthony

The hobby is a small falcon, smaller than a kestrel. With their long wings and streamlined shape, they are perfectly evolved for catching dragonflies and small birds, such as house martins and swifts, on the wing, often transferring their quarry from talon to mouth in mid-air.
