Located on Little Traverse Bay of the northwestern part of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, Petoskey is a lovely lakeside resort community that serves as the seat of Emmet County.

There are 44 cats on the estate. The majority of them have 6 toes from the original cats that Hemingway had. They all have old Hollywood Stars names. This was Audrey Hepburn

The many cats that roam the property are descendents of his original cats.

Shots taken while on Vacation in Cuba in Jan 2012. These shots were from an excursion from Varadero to Havana, some of the scenes are from along the way and back but most were taken in the city of Havana itself.

 

This was in the hotel Ambos Mundos where Ernest Hemingway lived while in Cuba and where he penned most of the book For Whom The Bell Tolls.

Site is on the National Register of Historic Places list, as well as having a Michigan Historical Marker.

It appears that it's claim to fame involves Ernest Hemingway, though the sign indicated Clarence Darrow was also a guest.

La Bodeguita del Medio translates to the Store in the Middle because it is exactly half way between the capitol and the ocean. It is also the place where Ernest Hemingway went for his mojitos!
