At the Parque Central, we had another hour of free time to wander. This was a different part of Old Havana ... leading down Calle Obispo from the opposite direction.
Ernest Hemingway used to frequent this bar ... he liked the daiquiris here.

With a couple days into the New Year, I took a walk to the far end of the Douglas Family Preserve in Santa Barbara, CA. Here at the western edge of the preserve, the bluffs give you such wonderful views of the Santa Barbara Channel Islands & ocean colors at sunset.

Flattering myself once again... Loganenator asked me what other impressions I do, so here you go. My son actually pointed this one out; he saw that Hemingway photo on the cover of That Dangerous Summer and said it looked like an older version of me in the photo of me above (which is cropped from a photo of us together[my son and me, not Papa and me!).
