Seen operating the diesel service on the Epping Ongar Railway is this Class 117/121 combination.
Nearest to the camera is 51384 and this vehicle is a Pressed Steel Class 117 DMS (Driving Motor Standard) owned by the EOR and was previously on the Lavender Line roster. At the other end is W56287 which is a Pressed Steel Class 121 DTS (Driving Trailer Standard) dating from 1961 owned by Pressed Steel Heritage and is loan to the EOR from the Colne Valley Railway. This vehicle is one of 10 Class 121 trailer vehicles built to work with Class 121 'Bubble Car' units. This example was one of two to be fitted with a corridor connection at one end by British Rail in 1988.

This leads to the Epping Ongar Railway (not a direct route), which incidentally has a station known as Blake Hall, famed for being the least used one on the network in it's decline, with all but six passengers a day giving it patronage!
Seen on a plinth at Ongar Railway Station on the Epping Ongar Railway is this Ruston Industrial 0-4-0 Shunter works number RH398616 dating from 1956.
A36 pulls into Platform 6 at Epping with a Hornsby bound Sydney Trains service from the City via the North Shore and ECRL.
On the 30th September 2018, the Epping - Chatswood Rail Link (ECRL) was closed to be converted to a "Metro" as part of the Sydney Metro project, a driverless train system running from Tallawong, near Riverstone, to Sydenham, with plans to extend to Bankstown.

I can't remember exactly whereabouts in Epping Forest this was. I used to walk there quite frequently when I lived in the Romford area in east London. Taken in October 1997 with a Bronica ETRS rollfilm camera. 2515_120B203_03.jpg
The second of two coal trains through Epping on the 'Up' within 15 minutes at the tail of the evening peak, SSR's CEYs use mostly momentum as they crest the grade on what is otherwise a long downhill run from Hornsby. The preceding working as an empty PN service ex Eraring power station with quad 82s.
