The English Setter is listed #98 on the AKC list of most popular dog breeds

The English Channel, also called simply the Channel, is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean that separates Southern England from northern France and links to the southern part of the North Sea by the Strait of Dover at its northeastern end. It is the busiest shipping area in the world.

It is about 560 km (350 mi) long and varies in width from 240 km (150 mi) at its widest to 34 km (21 mi) in the Strait of Dover. It is the smallest of the shallow seas around the continental shelf of Europe, covering an area of some 75,000 km2 (29,000 sq mi).

Shirley Heights, Antigua The humps of Montserrat hosted sundown out on the horizon, and the clouds held as I had hoped, to light the skies above English Harbour. A peculiar combination of landforms and sea create a sheltered anchorage in the southern reach of Antigua. It was here in 1723 that two ships of the Royal Navy safely withstood a hurricane while 35 others were wrecked; that reputation led to the establishment of Navy headquarters, and the building of the famous Nelson's Dockyard to repair ocean going vessels. The original buildings are still in use today. I knew the shot I wanted, and I hired a taxi to bring me from the north; whatever skepticism I thought I detected for my request to be on a overlook on Shirley Heights , above the Harbour, at the end instead of the beginning of the day, seemed to dissipate as the sunset intensified. He glowed with pride to show me this spectacular vista on his island while I glowed with sweat in the tropic heat, trying to capture it. From this lookout, British soldiers once monitored French and other enemy ships making any approach from French held Guadeloupe and Montserrat. I was content to monitor the day's end, as lights came on in English Harbour, already in the lee of sundown, settled into nightfall.

The Old English Gentleman is a unique town outlet situated close to the theatre. Possibly the most charming and atmospheric pub in Hull, the ambience created by the theatre "crowd", blends perfectly with the surrounds of the internal décor.

Shrewsbury lies in a bend of the River Severn so is surrounded on three sides by it. Two bridges link it on either side, the English Bridge and the Welsh Bridge. So called because the English Bridge is closer to England and the Welsh Bridge is closer to Wales. The English Bridge is the more ornate of the two and is in better surroundings.

Ed il più dolce fiato

quello trattenuto

Known as the monument to the bribery. All over the world there are monuments to heroes, unknown soldiers, statesmen, but bribes ... only in our country!

And this dates from the 30s, let's say that the sculptor was inspired by some precursor of modern bribes.

It is in the building of the current ministry of social development, and health, former ministry of public works. Quite a premonition of the time. The building and the sculpture are from when Discépolo wrote Cambalache. As far as I could find out, this was the builder's way of protesting the "collaborations" he had to do in order to finish the building.

For those who are not from Buenos Aires, it is in one of the most viewed places in the city, the building stands out from the rest. But the local people hardly know about the existence of this curious sculpture.

===================================================

Nobody, even less the author, had seen these pictures until now. Until I've developed them in the dark room.

The only image in this roll shows this scene of snowy landscape with some buildings, probably in the Benelux or Western Germany. It was shoot probably in the 60's or 70's. Any guess about the location?

They call "found film" at those images in film or plates that are find undeveloped inside old cameras or in other places, like boxes or old houses.

This film is part of a large pack I bought in the internet from somebody in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands.

This one was a 127 format Kodak Verichrome Pan film, developed with HC110.
