Bluebells are probably one of the best known wildflowers found in the British Isles, sometimes carpeting entire floors in early spring with brightly colored flowers, appearing April-May.

Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, England. Built 1705-1722 originally for John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, as reward for military activities including the Battle of Blenheim. Birthplace in 1874 of Winston Churchill.
Christopher Wren was in the running to be architect but the post was given to John Vanbrugh who was assisted by Hawksmoor. The building is in the ‘English Baroque’ style that paralleled the perhaps more exuberant Continental Baroque. English baroque was soon unfashionable and replaced by the restraint of the Georgian buildings of Edinburgh and Bath.

In de avond van 22 oktober 2021 werd afgereisd naar Rotterdam Centraal omdat de SSN 41 105 en de VSM 65 018 overgebracht werden van Rotterdam Noord Goederen naar Alstom Maintanance op de Waalhaven Zuid.
Voordat de HSL 1324 met de overbrenging arriveerde kwam onverwachts het Rail Restaurant aangereden. Met de TCS 102001 op kop staat trein 33205 klaar voor vertrek uit Rotterdam Centraal naar Utrecht Centraal. Aansluitend zou het geheel weer terugkeren naar Rotterdam.

The Anglican Church is no longer what it used to be - and its majority is no longer "English". English weather is now a matter of unpredictable surprises, telephone cubicles have been superseded by smart phones, and the Royal Mail is neither royal nor reliable in its delivery of letters. And the English character? You tell me. We in the UK are living among fossilised objects, and if new life is springing up it will in all likelihood have little to do with the Anglican Church, the Royal Mail and Englishness. The main differences between a Spanish bluebell and an English bluebell are: On the Spanish flower, the bells are all around the stem, not just on one side, which gives the English bluebell its drooping stature. The leaves are wider and bigger. The petals of each bell open wider and flare at the ends rather than curl.
