East Midlands Railways Regional Class 170 Turbostar DMU No 170207 arrives at Shirebrook Station with 1339 Worksop to Nottingham service on the Robin Hood Line on 25th November 2024
The station buildings were part of the Midland Railway’s Shirebrook West Station which closed along with other stations along the Nottingham to Worksop route in October 1964 and are no longer in railway use. In the background is is Shirebrook Junction Signal Box - a 1904 MR signal box.

'EMR Regional' - Class 156 'Super Sprinter' DMU - No. 156422 (sporting new Northern livery, decals to be applied on transfer to Newton Heath T & R.S.M.D.) passes Pymoor Bridges - Ouse Washes with 1R70 1057 Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street on 18.3.22.
Shadows on a late Summer evening as Hunslet-Barclay Class 20 20902 -'Lorna' was stabled for the night in platform 4 at Southport with a Weedkilling Train on September 5th 1994.
20902 was built in 1961 as D8060 and became 20060 in 1973. Withdrawn by BR in 1988 it became a Hunslet-Barclay locomotive in 1989. After passing to DRS, the 20 was one of three (20901/20902/20903) that worked worked the 'Train for Life' across Europe to Kosovo in 1999. 20902 was scrapped at EMR Kingsbury in 2011.

43309 is still active in 2021 having been transferred over to a lease with EMR - East Midland Railway by its owner Alpha Trains.
Of the two purple Class 158s EMR have, I always seem to see 774 instead of 773, but in this case, I got lucky and EMR happened to shove it on the Derwent Valley line which was where I was headed anyways...
158773 is also EMR's Pride Train. Compared to the efforts of Avanti West Coast, it's kinda pathetic but it still counts and I think EMR did a good job of incorporating the rainbow LGBT thingy into the standard livery.
And now for a bit of station trivia; Cromford Station featured on the cover of the Oasis single "Some Might Say" and I must say, the station looks beautiful in the snow!
East Midlands Railway Class 43 HST 43257, still in basic LNER livery, brings up the rear of the 16.45 Nottingham to St Pancras service as it approaches Barrow upon Soar in some nice evening sunshine.

EMR Regional Class 158 No.158799 speeds through Manea on 7th January 2022 working 1L07 07:42 Liverpool Lime Street-Norwich.
EMR 158889 is led by a classmate away from Manchester towards Nottingham, where 889 would continue on to Norwich.
43274 stands at Leeds for what would be the final Sunday morning EMR HST departure from Leeds. The train been the 1C43 the 10:50 departure to London St Pancras

As far as I am aware it was showing off the new uniform to staff from EMR and is an old demonstrator ex P447 SWX.
