An EMR Meridian races through the snow covered Derbyshire countryside at Wingfield Park towards Wingfield Tunnel on a Chesterfield to St Pancras service on November 29th 2021

43102 present day, in its superb Intercity repaint, leads 1B28 0834 Sheffield-St Pancras EMR service through a spring like Attenborough, 27/02/21. Pole.

East Midlands Railways (EMR) 158783 crosses Beggars Bridge (Turves), with the 1R94 1357 Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street service.

When the RCP visited St. John, NB they had a pretty wild power consist. The '70 was rather unfortunate but it was there and at least it was painted to match. I managed to get the eastbound trip with that unit leading the F's crossing Onawa Trestle. The weather for both trips was great. The westbound trip was a cocker, with great light through its entirety. I recall we ran out of light around East Outlet on the Moosehead after starting the day at Lambert Lake. The 95 overhead shot is decent, but the "obstacles" involved with shooting here are usually pretty humorous. So here is an F unit Friday submission with the 1401 leading he westbound trek about to duck under the interstate and what is likely one of the largest crowds to have gathered here, ever.

East Midlands Railways (EMR) Intercity swallow liveried 43102 / 43302 'The Journey Shrinker' leads the 5M17 1020 St Pancras International to St Pancras International via Leicester ECS past Cricklewood. EMR Purple 43274 being at the rear of the train.

On a sunny 31/07/20 43317 leads 1C15 0519 Leeds-St Pancras EMR working through Sawley. By the time I've got around to processing this shot, EMR have long dispensed with HSTs, and have stopped running any trains to/from Leeds too!

Eastern Maine Railway Train 908-4 uses the full 25 MPH speed limit on this portion of the Mattawamkeag Sub.

Behind the power, 10,000 feet of train stretches west from Bancroft and into the town of Wytopitlock.

Bancroft is home to a 7,842 foot passing siding and is home to just 57 residents and not much else.

However at one time there was a sawmill here, the spur for which branched off in the foreground and headed north behind me a few hundred feet.

The units recently arrived at Kingsbury EMR seem to have been shunted using the machine in the foreground, not the shunter in the distance.

Head pin is SD40-2 6315, the final of 8 SD40-2's to be painted. The unit was painted not long before this, however it and the other 4 operational SD40-2's would soon be stored, after CP lost the container contract. Only 8145 would remain for another year, until it and all of the other units were sold to K&K Recycling. Currently the units are stored in North Bay, Ontario with an uncertain future.

The Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (EMRS), provides patients with life threatening conditions in remote and rural areas of Scotland, with rapid access to the skills of a consultant in emergency or intensive care medicine. The consultants are ready to respond to requests for help, by helicopter or plane, within minutes.

SGHD funded a west coast pilot of EMRS for 18 months commencing in June 2008. Over the 18 months to the end of November 2009 EMRS has undertaken 356 retrievals and given advice on a further 283 patients.

14th Decmeber 2020

The first section of Eastern Maine Railway Train 907-26 crosses Route 2 in Mattawamkeag on 1/26/2022. At the time catching a SD70M-2 leading was fairly hard to do, with only 6 on the property and several down as trail only.

On this day SD70M-2's 6401 and 6402 along with NBSR SD40-2 8144 teamed up to move a lengthy train over EMR. In addition to this 907, a second one was crossing into the US about the time these guys hit Mattawamkeag. I can't remember if that one had a lease unit leading or if I wouldn't get them anywhere before dark, but I stuck with these guys the rest of the way to Brownville Jct.

How I came out with a result here is anyone's guess, the sun came from nowhere through the cloud, and as I did a last second lens change as the train left the EM Parkway, I forgot to restart live-view so it was taken with the pole blind.. 43274 leads 1B23 0634 Leeds-St Pancras at Ratcliffe on Soar.

Newly re-liveried into EMR colours, 43274 brings up the rear of 1B69 1745 Nottingham to St Pancras, in gorgeous evening light. This was its first day in traffic in the new scheme.
