The E270 CDi used an inline 5-cylinder diesel engine, available in Europe only. The engine produced 177bhp and 400N.m of torque, giving a 0-62 time of 9 seconds and a top speed of 142mph, all at an average 40mpg. Cost new in 2002 was £28,885 with auto gearbox. Between 2002-09 Mercedes sold 1.5 million of the W211 E-Class cars/estates.

I have given this painting to Perth Electric Tramways Society as a promotion for the return to traffic of No. 66 to traffic at Whiteman Park in October, 2011, having been lovingly restored.
