not driving the Peykan anymore... no! khodroye melli wasn't good enough! got the idea to tilt from Mehrad.

A little market scene in what was probably Vorokhta.

Mercedes Benz MB W124 E200T

I took this photo when my kids were playing behind a curtain. I like the image and the way the light is hitting the curtain.

This old Merc looked in really nice condition, but for some reason it's SORN along with the Felicia Fun, in a garden that hasn't seen much attention of late.

After more than a year I finally have some decent shots of my Merc's interior. Not bad for a 21 year old daily driver :-)

The W124 series Mercedes is renowned for its reliability and many elderly examples are still going strong, although a healthy export trade to Africa has reduced their numbers here. I have seen this 230E a couple of times in the car park of my university's other campus so I guess it belongs to either a student or staff member; whoever the owner is, they have good musical taste as a Queen Greatest Hits CD was on the back shelf. It is locally registered but on its third owner, and has almost certainly clocked up a huge mileage. The headteacher of my grammar school had a 190E of similar age and condition, which I always thought to be a rather shoddy car for someone in her position.

SavaTheAggie pointed out that the curvature of the roof of the steeple cab prototype was different to that of the box cab. I'd assumed they were the same. The initial design is on the left, and the new design is on the right, with the prototype inset. I like the new version, mainly because it made it easier to incorporate the side ladder.

I still haven't been able to figure out how to include the side vents. The upper two rows of 1x2 tiles are mounted on studs positioned about a quarter of the way along the length of the tile to give the appropriate overlap for the widows, which prevents me from just using a grille tile. Any suggestions?

E Class Metropolitan No. 1 approaches Ealing Common working the late running first Train No. 150 12:07 High Street Kensington to Ealing Broadway 150 years of the District line rail tour.

Due to technical issues with the train the rail tours were running about 70 to 85 minutes late.

The W212 model arrived in 2009. Petrol engines range from a 1796cc 4-cylinder (E200) up to a 6208cc V8 Supercharged monster (E65 AMG), and there are five diesel models of various power levels, perhaps the best being the E300 and E350 V6 models. A facelift model arrived in 2013 with a more aggressive front end appearance. A replacement car (W213) is due out in the spring of 2016.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, formerly Mercedes-Benz M-Class, is an mid-size luxury Crossover SUV. The third series M class was designed by Emil Burki on the newly designed W166 chassis and is moderately refined, taking styling cues from the new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class. An increase in rear seat legroom has been implemented, alongside adjustable rear back-rests. It was to be launched in September 2011 as the M class And was one of the last vestiges of the joint venture between Daimler and Chrysler the core platform and technology, benefitting from Chrysler's strong SUV sales and R&D domestically. The underlying platform work was largely completed in 2006, as the two companies were separated. Chrysler uses the same platform to power the Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) and Dodge Durango. Due to the separation the cars are extremely different in terms of interior and body design as well as engine choices. Open front and rear differentials are fitted, and use four-wheel electronic traction system (4-ETS) to simulate front and rear differential locks.

The model was given a facelift and rebranded as the GLE for the 2015 model year in accordance with Mercedes new naming policy for their SUV range, and a new five-door coupé derivative GLE-Class Coupe (C292) was added to the lineup. The SUV facelift was unveiled at the New York Auto Show

The new lineup included the GLE 500 e the first plug-in hybrid in this model range, combining a 333 hp V6 engine with a 116 hp electric motor

One of a brace of lovely W124 (C124) cabriolets in this collection sale, this being one of the last pre-face lift models before the model designation changed to become E-class.

Featuring the silky smooth and powerful 3.2 straight-six engine mated to four speed automatic transmission with sport and winter modes, the car has covered a low indicated, if unsubstantiated mileage of only 39,155 miles and has had only two former keepers, being purchased in 2008 to form part of this collection according to the accompanying V5C.

The car presents well, finished in period correct two-tone blue with mushroom hide and walnut trim. The electric blue soft top looks in good original order but is untested as the car has not been run for some time and we have not attempted to start it.

An invoice on file from Sinclair Group Mercedes-Benz dated 2010 totals £943 for a general service, crank sensor, new relay and an MOT. The car’s last Mot expired in May 2012, however the car was taken for a test in September 2016 at which time it failed due to loose near side front wheel nuts and poor performance from the hand brake.

Requiring some minor recommissioning, this impressive range-topping W124 looks just the thing to help shake off those winter blues.
