E Class Metropolitan No. 1 hauls a short London Underground freight train through North Weald station
18/11/2021, El Puertillo, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain.
The design dates from 1982, although preliminary designs started in the middle 1970's.
Spotted this rather tidy (except for the inevitable parking scuffs) saloon down by the seaside.
Twin exhausts indicate that it is probably a diesel model, which were the most popular engine type here.
So, possibly a 200, 250 or 300D.
Vivid blue version of the HTI Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Not quite as good as the Realtoy version but certainly worth the 90 pence they currently retail at in Sainsbury's where they are now sold as a replacement for the previous Maisto based range. Mint and boxed.

This Mercedes-Benz 200 was delivered new on 19th May 1981 by Mercedes-Benz Longchamp in Paris. Presented in outstandingly original condition, the car has enjoyed single-family ownership from new (uncle and nephew) and has covered a certified circa 54.500 km. The second Carte Grise is on file together with a photocopy of the first. The owners were wealthy landowners, who never drove the Mercedes in the rain and on longer trips often transported it by train. When not in use it was kept garaged, protected by a cover.
The colour combination is particularly appealing: Walnut Brown with Saffron Light Tan interior in MB Tex fabric. The original paintwork is beautifully preserved, as is the upholstery, which has been protected since delivery by made-to-measure zipped covers and has never seen the light of day. Factory fitted options include power steering, central locking, lockable glove compartment, folding front armrest, electrically heated rear window, halogen fog lamps, parcel nets, and rear courtesy light. The first owner had the right-side door mirror fitted by Mercedes-Benz, and the car also retains its original Blaupunkt Montreux radio, complete with instruction manual.
It doesn't look like it but H24 LDS is a cherished plate applied to a car imported in 2014 and first registered as K712 BON.

Does anybody have some better pictures of this car? According to a press release of the NYC Taxi and Limo Commission they had only two of them: nyc.gov/html/tlc/html/news/press08_99.shtml

It seems Realtoy have stalled in bringing out any new castings recently which is a shame as at one point it was all I seemed to be buying. They are still readily and cheaply available at Tesco though sadly the range has been cut back a bit and a bit of cost cutting is evident in some of the detailing. For the money this is a seriously good model of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class with a very realistic casting and strong detailing to both interior and exterior. Even at this price it puts most Matchbox models to shame. Some new colours wouldn't go amiss though lol. Mint and boxed.

Coachwork by Pilato
For decades, Mercedes vehicles have been the preferred basis for hearses owing to their elegant design, their sound workmanship, and their longevity and reliability. The vehicle on display has a bodywork built by the Italian firm Pilato. The large windows and ornate appointments are typical features of Italian hearses.
