scrub brush?!
kim, shane, and myself were sitting on the sidelines at the after party. this well dressed, and seemingly important man, strolls up and chats with another guy standing in front of us. this snappy looking dude was holding a scrub brush. we were puzzled.
i kept taunting kim to grab it and run away. she looked almost tortured with inner debate.
it was kind of hilarious.

One of my favourite bands from Fredericton, the Olympic Symphonium.
They performed in the stairwell at one of my favourite music stores, Backstreet. On this day I was able to pick up a Forward Music Group cd (with tons of favourites like the Sleepless Nights, Grand Theft Bus, Share etc.), Tegan and Sara's "The Con" on vinyl and three posters: Kimya Dawson, the Weakerthans and the Immaculate Machine.
Good haul, if I say so myself.

Say Fire and Sea Caves opened up for the Diamond Minds tonight down at Headquarters, it was a good show. The Diamond Minds are gone on the road for a few months now and doing some showcasing for the ECMAs. This was their last St. John's show until August, so I felt I should go.
Though I felt wrong going down there tonight since it entailed me missing the 3rd period (and resulting overtime period) of the habs game. I don't think I missed a habs game this season besides the end of this one. The habs lost in overtime against the Ottawa Senators, but it doesn't really matter since the habs are already guaranteed a playoff spot.
As usual the habs fans were louder than the Senators fans in Ottawa, Mike Cammalleri tied the game with 10 seconds left in the 3rd period and the stadium erupted with cheers even though it was not technically a home game for the habs in Ottawa. The superstitious part of me wonders if the outcome of the game would have been different if I had stayed home to watch it.
