Dust storm approaching Melbourne.

even household dust has an expressive and creative side.

do you allow your household dust to be creative, or are you so paranoid you do not allow it to express itself.

Europe, Netherlands, Rotterdam, Sound amplifier, Resistors, Spool, Macro (slightly cut from all sides)

Some dusty components of the NAD sound amp from the previous two shots. It's the last one of this macro mini series.

Playing with a 16 mm macro extension tube, which converts the Lumix 25 f/1,7 to a macro lens.

Number 3 of the new Macro! album.

This weeks challenge comes at a good time as we are currently mid clear out, making room for an extra desk as our son begins his exam campaign. This is an old view master slide viewer plucked from a forgotten corner. I’ve shot this on my iPad Pro as I stupidly left my MacBook (along with SD card adapters, cables etc) at my works head office and won’t be able to pick it up till Tuesday.

HMM!

A Winter Dusting

Hi loves!

For this round of Anthem I made a little cocoa cart for the holiday vibes!

It includes a texture change hud for the metals and pom poms, as well as a dispenser that gives out lots of goodies,

I hope you enjoy and so sorry for the delay, I'm off to hibernate! <3

very special light at the moment (the sky was this color - not post-processed) with a lot of Saharan dust in the air and a temperature of 27°C in the shade (April 8, 2024)

Hi loves!

For this round of Fameshed I wanted to dabble with some landscaping items!

I made some petal stairs with 6 different shapes, it's available in 3 different shades,

I feel super rusty with landscaping things but it's so fun to make! Let me know if you have any suggestions or if you'd like to see more landscaping bits. ♥

Available at this round of fameshed!

Callistemon brachyandrus, also known as Melaleuca brachyandra and has the common name of Prickly Bottlebrush. During the summer months, after most other Callistemon species have flowered, small red brushes up to 8 cm long cover the branches. The masses of stamens, which are the conspicuous parts of the flowers, are dark red with yellow anthers. These two characters combine to give the flowers the appearance of being dusted with gold. The five small petals and sepals, together with the pistils, are barely noticeable among the showy stamens. This photo was taken at Black Hill Conservation Park, South Australia.

This is my entry for ::The Thematorium::

The theme is kitsch. The year that I retired from the school district, teachers were given this statue pen holder. There is so much not right about it. First of all it is a statue of a man, an old man, a goldminer. If I was retiring from a goldmine, it might be approriate. Then there is a gun in the holster. He also has an empty gold pan. I hope this is not a metaphor on my years of teaching because I feel the opposite... enriched and young. In all fairness, goldmining is part of Fairbanks history. So even though I found it appalling and slightly hideous and something that gathered dust, I still kept it.

Hi loves!

So I was a little stumped with what to make lately, so I decided to run with a goofy idea of a vending machine for plants, I hope you plant lovers enjoy haha ♥

Wild horses in Utah. This is a fairly large herd, with many individual bands. The entire herd was traveling to the watering hole, as the sun was about to set. There is a hierarchy within the herd, that allows some bands to go to the watering hole before others. As those horses move off, another band moves in to the water. The older horses, especially old stallions, are usually last. Sometimes there are little skirmishes while at the water too. Very fun, and interesting to watch. Thanks for looking!

"Dust and Thunder"

A Yellowstone bull bison kicking up the earth, the air thick with grit and power. You can almost feel the ground shake as he moves forward—an ancient symbol of strength and survival on the American plains.

Dust, thunder, and raw presence.

we we're dust in a world

of grim obsession.

we wouldn't taunt from mouth

like an isolation.

we we're pulled from our path

of least resistance.

we're here waiting for you.

we all pray for the end

for the god to take us.

we we're falling down

one by one.

we we're weak and the fear

was all around us.

the machines screamed from

moon to sun.

we're here waiting for you.

hi guys! <3 I made a lil makeup cart for this round of n21, i hope you enjoy!

One of the few harvest pictures I managed to get this soggy harvest. A very brief glimpse of the sun lit up the dust from the combine to give a nice warm feel to the end of the day. This is wheat being harvested with straw chopped behind the combine.

A brisk but not frigid morning with a fresh dusting of snow.

I really like this one. It was a wonder that both the sunlight and extreme amount of dust was there, so I'm quite satisfied with this one!

Hi lovelies!

For this round of Anthem I did a mini desert scene! The ice cream tart sandwiches dispense a holdable version <3

I hope you enjoy!

I haven't done a 4:5 crop in quite a while, but there was something about this photo that begged for it. Or at least asked for it politely. Or maybe I'm hearing voices.

This is the Locust Grove church in Sherman County, Oregon. Realizing that our opportunities for good Milky Way photography were quickly dwindling (at least for a few more weeks), Chip MacAlpine and I made a quick visit to the church to take advantage of the dark skies. And man oh man were they ever dark. Good times!

And, finally, here's an obligatory link to my website.

A playful moment of an Asian elephant enjoying a dust bath. The fine particles rise into the warm air, creating a golden veil around this gentle giant.
