Because so many walls and so many roofs were damaged in the quake, these three parking lots at the Citizens' Multipurpose Ground have been repurposed as a dump.
I found these clay statues, apparently dumped in front of a jewellers shop late at night and exposed to the elements. Strange!
We asked the folks who were replacing our sidewalk to dump the old concrete into the bury pit that has sunk into our front yard. Less dirt for us to fill later.
This large dump truck is bringing a load of dirt. Our road is very narrow and the truck can hardly turn around. Use our driveway which is cement and they are cracking it.
Not that I don't have enough to do right now......two dogs were dumped near our property a week ago. I have seen them off and on and they looked pretty rough. I put food out for them and have been talking to them each time I see them but only today did they trust enough to come over to me. Such sweet girls with a pretty hard past I imagine. I'm not sure what our next step is because the animal shelter here euthanizes anything that even resembles a pit bull mix and the these kinda do....
