Duke came in for a health check. His owner was concerned about his inflamed muzzle. I We discovered he had a mild bout of folliculitis. Absolutely stunning looking dog.
Duke Farms is an estate that was established by James Buchanan Duke, an American entrepreneur who founded Duke Power and the American Tobacco Company. Located in Hillsborough, New Jersey the property is managed by the Doris Duke Foundation after the death of Doris Duke, the second owner. After extensive reorganization "Duke Farms" was opened to the public on May 19, 2012.
This is Duke Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku, or just Duke. He's a big deal in Hawaii. From Wikipedia: Duke Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku (August 24, 1890 – January 22, 1968) was a Hawaiian swimmer, actor, lawman, early beach volleyball player and businessman credited with spreading the sport of surfing. He was a five-time Olympic medalist in swimming.

This is the Duke Power station at Cliffside North Carolina. The tower on the right is 550' tall. So the new one of the left is going to be much taller. At one time, I was told, the tower on right was the tallest man made structure in NC until the skyscrapers in Charlotte. You can see the mountains in the distance.
