This photo was taken on the 4th of May 2015. A friend took me to see if we could find the Duke of Burgundy, this is the first time I have ever seen one.
The Duke Global Health Institute hosted a special Halloween party for staff, faculty and students at Trent Hall. DGHI staff Karen Gray, Debborah Coffman and Margaret Pendzich smile for the camera after enjoying some Halloween treats and refreshments. Karen Gray, the witch, was our grand prize winner of the DGHI costume contest.

After our year-long circumnavacation, we settled down in Durham, NC for my two-year masters degree. I am very excited and happy to be pursuing something that satisfies me intellectually in a great environment. Durham is definitely on the smaller side of cities and towns, but we are still enjoying the process of exploring and learning about our new home.
