My mom always pressured me to get a perm in my hair... and once a perm coupled with long-sleeved silk button-up shirts. She said she thought I would "look sharp"
I questioned her motives.
Also, in this particular scene, when a reference was made concernning something 'uphill' I was instantly reminded of the split poetry chapbook I did with FRANCIS POSPISIL, "AN UPHILL STRUGGLE"
needlless to say, I loved this movie.
My mother game me some older books that she had picked up over the years when I visited last week. One was the first edition of James Thurber's The White Deer (Harcourt, Brace & Company of New York). What is great is that this item was in the Panama Canal Library from 1945 through 1961. Well, that was the last date it was checked out. It was discarded - and probably traded hands a few times before it ended up with my mom. And now with me. What is really cool is that you see the Panama Canal Library Rules from c1945. This will be good for both my librarian and boatnerd friends!
Zach Galifianakis signs autographs for some fans. During a recent trip to London, I was walking through Leicester Square and stumbled over the European Premiere of the film Due Date. Not being a celebrity spotter, I managed to get some photo's of some of the Celeb's attending.

The excuse for a lack of recent photo postings - also, a promise for a future annoyingly high rate of photo postings.
Bob decided in order to edit my assignment quicker, he'd move his desk somewhere more productive. Everyone was shocked as cables, wires and papers were strewn all over the office as he pushed and pulled his massive computer desk across the room in front of mine.

John Adeleye from X Factor is interviewed by Edith Bowman. During a recent trip to London, I was walking through Leicester Square and stumbled over the European Premiere of the film Due Date. Not being a celebrity spotter, I managed to get some photo's of some of the Celeb's attending.
After going through the "The Americans" several times, I was pleasantly surprised to find the old "due date card" secure in the back of the book . . . it's reassuring to know that this collection was still popular 30 years ago, 20 years after its release . . .
With the old "due date cards" you could see the activity of the book you checked out . . . now in the age of the bar code scanner, I have no idea if I am the first person to check this out in the past 10 years, or the 20th person this year . . .
Regardless, I highly recommend tracking this one down and going through it (if you haven't already)!
