My sister watched the house for a while tonight and Jason and I had a fun little date night...basically for free, which made it even better!
We started with dinner at Savannah Grill, we had a gift card from my friend Barbie, and Thursday is steak Special night, $10.95 steak dinners. Jason had the rib-eye and I had the filet, and it was delicious, we also got salad, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies.
After dinner we made the 7:20 showing of Due date, we had a gift card for the tickets and coupons for free soda & popcorn.
The move was hilarious, and we had a fun time hanging out together,.

Naomi is currently pregnant with our second child. Her due date, 9th November 2010, came and went with no signs of the new arrival. Our first child, Maisie, was 9 days late, so we're getting used to this waiting around game!

The Fifth of November.
The importance of this photo is that it is 7 seconds from the 6th of November - the due date for my assignment. I've been counting down this moment for exactly a year.
I made the decision 18 months ago to defer my Major Project to an extra semester at UWS so I could do my other subjects without the strain of having to make a 60+ page, 11,000+ word report on my mind.
This decision meant that I'd spend another year at UWS - alone. In that time I'd say goodbye to friends as they would start careers overseas and also to friends who would be starting work in all the major and minor companies.
Being at UWS by myself has been hard. It's far away from the bustle of Glebe and the city, it's a different climate out there too. But other things as well made me different from the students there too - I was always over dressed and was always late to lectures and classes because of the train timetables.
For the most part, this assignment has been on my mind for about 6 months as the reason why I've done alot of things and also as the reason why I didn't do a lot of things. I stayed home more on my computer, I put on a bit of weight, I developed neck strain and for a while, when I was sitting for 16 hours researching - I pinched a nerve in my back from the inactivity.
So when I looked at my watch on Sunday, the 5th of November (Guy Fawkes Night) at 11:59:53PM, I knew that everything up to that moment - was all for the next moment that was about to happen.
Finishing this assignment has been such a journey for me. I've had good and bad moments with it just like anyone else. But what makes this different is that I know that I've done a good job on at least something at uni - All By Myself
So just like in V for Vendetta, when the clock strikes Midnight, this moment in the photo was exactly the same for me.
I hope that I've explained that to you properly - because I thought you might like to know.

I recently got a new Mesa (AZ) library card. The design brings back memories of my younger days. I checked out lots of books and ordered a boatload from Scholastic every month or so.
