Scans of the two due-date stamp slips in the copy of Archy and Mehitabel I have out from the University of Utah Library.
Looks like they stopped using the stamps after early 2002 (hard to say exactly, since there are gaps in the sequence.) But if they were still using them, there'd be an AUG 31 2011 in there too.
Had he gone to term, he probably would have been born bigger than he is now. Which scares me, when I look at the size of him and think of the size of the orifice he would have come out...!
Not quite the day off I had planned today.
I spent this morning with Gingeraffinity, James and Albert, which was lovely. We chatted, ate cake and giggled with the two small people. Lovely. Then I had an afternoon at home planned, pottering about in the garden and doing a few gentle chores. However, due to the husband's toe injury from the night before, I ended up ferrying him into town for a 10 minute hair appointment, which took 40 minutes.
When we finally got home at 3pm, we had a sandwich and then nursery rang to tell us that Noah had bitten into a sandwich with butter on it (he has a dairy allergy) and an ambulance was on its way! We got to him 10 minutes later and thankfully he was absolutely fine. He was checked out and we had a brief stint in A&E, but we managed to get home in time to go out for a meal with my parents this evening, so all was not lost.
Well, if nothing else, it served to distract from the fact that today is the first of 2 should-have-been-due-dates from the miscarriages I had last year!
What a day!
Glowing Evy proves pregnant women can still be beautiful! On this beautiful day at Hippie Tree she gives mother nature a whole new meaning.
