Friendly, fast, professional, and a cool sign on top of it all. What more could you ask for in a dry cleaners? The folks at 3310 Lakeshore Ave, can tackle whatever you can throw at them...just not on Mondays.

At Taffs Well Station in Taffs Well.
Taffs Well railway station is a railway station serving the village of Taff's Well, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, as well as neighbouring Gwaelod-y-Garth, Cardiff. It is located on the Merthyr Line and the Rhondda Line. Passenger services are provided by Arriva Trains Wales.
The station was first opened on this site by the Taff Vale Railway in 1863.
Our holiday cottage was nearby here, so could regularly hear trains arriving and departing.

It is to the right, of Ladybird Cleaning, and the owners own house. (other side of the trees / fence).
As the sign says, this is a combination laundry and dry cleaners, but not a laundromat. They also do furs. The signs are lighted neon.
Just before I saw the barn-shaped Dairy Queen on Forsyth Road, I noticed this dry-cleaners, which used to be a fast food restaurant. At first I wasn't quite sure whether it was originally a McDonald's or a Burger King, but now I'm convinced that it was a McDonald's.
There is a "1" on top of the sign, so although I have never seen another Ross Miller location, this could possibly not be the single location. It is a rather nice neon sign but does not light these days. The business is still open but the neighborhood is in decline.
It's mostly forgotten by people today, but The Warner Theatre in Morgantown was not always just a cinema. It also had a small stage on which local groups often performed theatricals before movies were shown.
This one dates to C. 1931, and was a fun event apparently done before a showing of Eddie Cantor's film, "Whoopee"

Considering I grew up around all of this vintage wonder, it is probably no surprise I love vintage and retro so much, is it?

Built during the Forties, this structure housed three stores: a shoemaker, a drycleaner and a carpenter. During the Fifties, the Painchaud family lived in a section and operated a grocery store in the two other sections.
