Yesterday was a damp day here. But only 5 mm of drizzle between 6 in the morning and midnight. There were still some droplets hanging of the leaves of our Abelia plant this morning
A cold front is passing today and doing its best to keep hurricane Matthew at bay from Maryland. The far reaching rain bands are making their way across Maryland, but it is a gentle rain.
Captured here some of it collecting nicely on these plants.
a macro shoot of a spider web with dew above a small flower.
I like the repetition of the flower in each droplet.
Press L and F11 for best viewing.

Spent two mornings on a pontoon boat a couple weeks ago in Florida where hundreds of Swallowtail kites were roosting in preparation to migrate back to South America. It was so much fun to watch them swoop down and drink from the river as they were preparing to go off to forage. I just posted 4 of my favortie action images from the trip. Thanks to our guide Scott Helfrich who has been doing this for many years.
This is my first attempt at photographing a water droplet on a tiny tiny Cypsela from a dandelion puffball. I would love feedback on what I could do better but fairly happy for a first attempt.
