OK, everyone seems to be doing the "drop-splash" photo these days. Here is my take on the theme.

Apart from localised levels adjustment, there was very little photoshop post production. The drop was photographed with a print of a diver (my wife, Jo) behind the splash zone, with the drop itself acting as a fisheye lens. The motion was frozen by using a flash (with homemade snoot) pointing at the diver print.

Lime drop into water catching the air bubbles adds a bit of drama.

beeing on a vacancy in southtyrol for almost two weeks I could not copy with all my flickr activities. Coming home I found this theme and it matched perfectly to a photo that I took right before we left home. Beeing in the mountains dropletts were not my primary goal, sorry

Ok, guess the fever got me too...:-)

Still have to play with the light and liquids and drop rate, but it's a lot of fun already...

A tear drop holds so many things,

It holds our joy,

It holds our love,

It holds our loss.

A tear drop must be placed in context,

Of its self it is a simple thing,

Salty water from our eyes.

We weep when overcome with happiness,

We cry when overwhelmed by sorrow.

We ball when crushed by emotions,

We shed a tear when lifted by pride.

A tear drop is so powerful a thing,

A manifestation of extreme emotion.

A tear drop captures humanity.
