Tried a different approach with my artwork - did this all with a ballpoint pen! I had a look on YouTube for tips and then found a photo to copy. What do you think?

Result of day two of the Botanical Drawing Workshop at Teylers Museum in Haarlem. We had a great teacher in Margriet Honingh (margriethoningh.nl). First time I tried to do precise work in watercolour, and definitely not quite finished... This a a slow and meticulous process. I'm told it gets better.
here @idiotspasture suggested I draw these two unhappy gentlemen - www.nuclearblast.de/static/articles/104/104165.jpg/1000x1... so yeah :-)

On the flight from New York to Paris.
When traveling I drew in a small sketchbook, approx. 4 ¾ X 5 ¾ inches, 10.5 X 14.8 cm.
See below for a framed version of the finished drawing. I've been asking for photos of eyes so that I can draw some more, but so far nobody has sent me any photos. All I need is a close-up eye shot, with sharp detail and I'll do the rest. No takers?

This was a really quick drawing (more like a sketch). Once I drew the outline I went off on my own on the lines all over him. So he may not look just like the picture. I drew him from this picture. images.hellokids.com/_uploads/_tiny_galerie/20140731/groo.... The picture looks WAY better in person, the scanner I use is old and kinda ruins the picture. I want to draw all of the Guardians, I think my next one will be Star-Lord. I hope you guys like him. :)
This top is made of pieces of Terrain by Kate Spain and Kona White. I have now found this block is in Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia as #3364, Fan Quadrille - Mountain Mist. Megan from Canoe Ridge Creations also did a tutorial with a version of this block here:http://www.canoeridgecreations.com/2011/09/off-drunken-path-go-baby-tute.html
Now to quilt it in time for the FAL deadline at the end of this month.
it took me a while to think of a different spin using the same framework for this challenge - love this pattern as a feather. steps for the feather on the LHS on my blog: www.alittlelime.blogspot.com, in the main content, or click on "patterns".
