Runnin' runnin' from home,
Breakin' ties that you'd grown
Catchin' dreams from the clouds

The city sounds burn your soul
Turn your head to the cries
Of loneliness in the night
Just like a fly when it's caught
The spider soon takes it's prey
Spins a dance round your heart
Give me your beauty and age
A pleasure pleasing my mind
Your heart will shatter and fall
Step on pavements so old
Cast a glance at the young
Girls a-making their way
The passing image of you
Reflects a pain to my heart
And disappears in a crowd
Runnin' runnin' from home
Breakin' ties that you'd grown
Catchin' dreams from the clouds
I turned on Pandora - Explosions in the Sky radio and decided to just let my mind flow freely and draw whatever fit a current song that was playing. There is a lot that was going through my head but I didn't stop drawing. I just did what I felt like I wanted to do. Sometimes it was lines. Sometimes it was something more. Sometimes it was words. Every single thing in this represents something. In the end, I have to say I understand why people use art therapy so much - it really relaxes you. Makes you feel so different. So wonderful. So inspired.

Both locations were closed in June 1994 when the 12-screen Cobb theater (www.flickr.com/photos/60862860@N03/30223404291/in/photost...) opened just nearby. All the murals that were at these two theaters were transferred over to the 12-screener.
Biro futuristc sketch.
From an early age I was always sketching and doodling cars and futuristic scenes. I carried on this 'habit' during all my early jobs. These are some doodles I did while working as a call centre agent in the mid 1990's. Something to keep my mind going.
The doodles are mostly in Biro so some of the pages have turned yellow with age.
This is a typical old building you can find in Montpellier in “the rue de l’Université”. Sitting at a small cafe, I enjoyed letting loose my water colors and ink pen.
*recently found in my garden shed with about fifty pages stuck together and moldy; I have placed the book in a tub to see if they come undone to photograph and scan them before burning. The above was made into several paintings which came out rather well even though different. Sketch books can be great tools to make art from . The subject matter was "the jealous husband" whom we all know from literature and recordings; my favorite being the famous poem: "el hombre celoso es como un perro rabioso" recited and sang by my favorite poet and recording star "La Calandria" which I am enclosing for your enjoyment.
When my children were little in the 1970s my then-husband worked as a miner in the Blötberget iron mine. This is a two page drawing made by my son when he was six. It's currently on a wardrobe door in my home. Very dark spot - why didn't I take it down and scan it??
This kind of MINE is GRUVA in Swedish - an entirely different word. A naval MINE is MINA in Swedish, which is the same word and four letters - but I let the froggies have that one. However, in older usage MINA could be used for GRUVA, especially in foreign countries. Also what sappers would do to an enemy fortress is UNDERMINERA, such a tunnel would be EN MINA as well as the explosives placed inside it.

Hooray! My package of new pens and pencils arrived so I just HAD to play with them. Inspired by Carolyn's "Sleepytime Tanlges" I tested out what the Pigma pens can do on a small tile.
Some of the tangles/variations used (that I know the names of): Mumsy, Sooflowers
