I don't have any kid pottery around that I can easily get my hands on at the moment and I really wanted to finish this unit so...I grabbed a freeform pottery bowl that I made about 8 years ago. It was created by draping a sheet of clay over a lovely rounded river rock, and then shaped. It looks rather underwater plant-ish to me.
I like how the drawing of it turned out even! Total time spent on the drawing was about 10 minutes start to finish.

A visually-impaired street performer hopes to draw an audience outside the Laoag City public market during a busy "open market" day. Although I failed to chat with him, I think he's not from around here coz I only see him once a year. Here's another photo of him taken in August 2008.
I wonder what stories he can share. :-)

20 mins (you'd never guess that by what I ended up with, sheesh) I was so busy *looking* at the contours I didn't get much done. Some nice lines though, like the sweet curve where the belly makes the thigh - and that's one nice lookin' nipple! (just one though)

Stevenson University presented “The Draw of Hand Lettering,” a sweeping survey that features a variety of contemporary posters, prints, logotypes, and packaging that embraces the tactile and expressive qualities of hand lettering. The exhibition—comprising the work of more than 30 designers worldwide—is on display through Oct. 2 in the University’s School of Design Gallery located on the Owings Mills North campus.
