是競技龍提昇的另一種表演方式，道具龍以螢光材料製作，於無光害的場地，透過紫光照射，舞龍運動員穿著深色服裝，故不見舞龍的人，表演時僅見亮麗的神龍翻騰、行雲駕霧，所有動作焦點都在龍身上，表演者運用舞龍的技術，將神龍的喜怒哀樂顯現得淋漓盡致，更昇化了舞龍表演藝術，精彩可期。

In the dance, a team of people carry the dragon — which is an image of the Chinese dragon — on poles. A dragon can be composed of up to 50 people.[1] The dance team does mimic the supposed movements of this river spirit in a sinuous, undulating manner. The movements in a performance traditionally symbolise historical roles of dragons demonstrating power and dignity. The dragon dance is a highlight of Chinese New Year celebrations held worldwide in Chinatowns around the world.

Lion Dance Plucking the Green, 采青(Cai Qing), is a traditional lion dance performance. Cai Qing is performed during the Chinese New Year to bring blessings and good fortune.
Oranges and lettuces are common item for lion dance to perform Cai Qing. Pineapple, sugarcane can also be included.

2010年2月16日新竹縣政府舉辦「2011兩岸雙龍會‧新竹亮起來」活動，請來大陸廣州長約35米長的「埔寨火龍」，與台灣本地55米的長龍喜相逢，熱鬧歡騰慶元宵。這也是新竹縣為了慶祝建國百年元宵節，所舉辦的一連串系列活動之一。
「埔寨火龍」是大陸國家級非物質文化遺產項目，每逢元宵佳節，埔寨鎮均會舉行「燒火龍」、「燒煙架」、「燒禹門」等的民間藝術表演，以祈新年風調雨順、五榖豐登。「燒火龍」經過不斷改進後，才有如今精緻美觀的「火龍」，最多有十三段，全長可達三十五米。全龍裝放發射各類煙花，還會張嘴、噴火、吐珠、躬身、搖尾，栩栩如生。表演首先由鑼鼓隊出場，鰲、鯉、 蝦、繡球隨後，最後是火龍壓軸。火龍高大的龍頭，兩隻眼珠光芒四射，氣勢雄壯，猶如天降神龍。火龍在點燃煙火後，首先從嘴裡吐出火珠，接著全身放出奇麗的光彩、千萬道各色各樣的火花交織在一起，時而萬箭穿雲，漫天光彩輝煌，天地間渾成一體，火龍在火海中翻騰，氣勢壯觀、驚險其特，動人心弦。
除了兩岸雙龍會以外，現場也邀請飛兒樂團及藝人郭采潔帶來演出。此外主辦單位新竹縣政府社會處，也特別邀請建國一百年藝術煙火設計團隊研發的「建國100圓形煙火」，將首次在新竹登場，分兩階段的煙火施放，第一階段是以「建國100」為主題呈現，陸續於空中打出春雷及笑臉等3D立體圖案；第二階段是以「金銀滿屋」為主題呈現，以煙火藝術金、銀色調呈現不同之100，夜空中展開的長度寬達200米，並配合高空煙火，錦冠花式做結尾。

The Third Annual New York Lion and Dragon Dance Festival was held at Leif Ericson Park, Brooklyn on September 22nd, 2019. The festival is also called Annual Carnival Lion Dancing and Kungfu Extravaganza. The location of Ericson Park is at 66th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. The weather was nice with sunny sky. Dancers, Kungfu performers, and dragon and lion dancers entertained all coming audience. Some of the performers were just a kid; very young.

The Chinese School staged their annual Dragon Dance outside the town hall in font of an appreciative audience before processing with two Lion Dancers to bring fortune to local Chinese businesses in town.

On January 20th, Renfrew school celebrated Lunar New Year with a special assembly, which featured a recorder song, arts and crafts and even a dragon dance.
Special guests included VSB Chair Patti Bacchus and local MLA Adrian Dix.

The NYC 25th Lunar New Year Parade was held in Manhattan Chinatown on February 12th, 2023. This year is the Year of the Rabbit. The rabbit is the fourth animal in the Chinese zodiac and symbolizes grace, beauty, mercy and good luck. Rabbits are also associated with the moon, because of the mythical Jade Rabbit who lives there. People born in the Year of the Rabbit are said to be peaceful, as well -- avoiding arguments, criticism and change.
According to the Chinese Language Institute, rabbits are also viewed as highly intelligent and tenacious, but they can fall prey to jealousy and pessimism.
Famous people born in the Year of the Rabbit include Albert Einstein, Angelina Jolie, Michael Jordan, Brad Pitt and Frank Sinatra.
Many elected officials and Chinatown leaders attended the parade. They gave good luck greetings on the Lunar New Year for the Chinese Community. Many colorful floats and people wearing traditional dress participated in this event. Many audiences came out to Chinatown to watch the parade. There were two stages at different locations broadcasting the parade. It was a very cheerful day.
