Old Caterpillar crawler tractor has been long retired as evidenced by the poplar tree growing though the machine. The blue box on the post with a chain attached is a cattle oiler. Farmers use these to treat their cattle to protect them from parasites. The cattle rub themselves on chain and absorb the medicine through their hide.
.... a little turn of her head (because she poses even in her sleep.... lol) and then she continued to nap.
Velvet wants to doze off, and I am, again, in her face with the camera!
She's loving her new blankie!

One of the lovely Yorkshire villages, people buying local produce in little shops, outside… a bench, for the waiting dogs.
They looked literally ’tired’ of waiting, what a picture they are, LOL.

Hiking solo can never compare to the joy of having my loyal companion, Dozer, by my side. Today was filled with excitement as he eagerly navigated the post-snow landscape, splashing through the water and skillfully avoiding the thawing pond. This place surely reminded him of last year's mishap. A few treats later, he returned home, lying beside me, his happiness shining through. Taking Mom for a walk is no easy task—just ask him, lol! Dozer transforms every hike into a memorable adventure, and I'm incredibly thankful for his unwavering companionship.

Here is my take on the classic Lego Rock Raiders set "4950". It aims to be somewhat of a "UCS"-version. With roughly 3 times for pieces than the original set had.
One important aspect here is that I kept the colors, which means no bluish-grays, only Gray and Light gray, which to some extend limits the amount of slopes available. On the contrary there are parts that came in Dark Gray but never Dark Bluish Gray, so it made for a very interesting build.
Adventure Dogs on their first beach vacation. I took this at Bodie Island Lighthouse waiting for the man to get the off road permit. Then we hit the beach!
I haven't slept for almost 40 hours. I didn't have any patience for a photo today.
I'm not entirely fond of this edit, so we'll see if it stays.

Haha I'm reminded of.
"I'VE GOT THE CAFFEINE PATCH! It's my invention. You can stay awake for days with NO side effects!.......... AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!....sorry."
Dozer, now nearly three and a half years old, continues to be an exceptional companion on my hikes. His excitement is palpable whenever I put on my boots and coat, calling out, "Come on, Dozer, let's go!" He responds to my commands with unwavering loyalty, always staying close by as we explore the trails. It’s clear that hiking is one of his greatest joys. Upon our return home, he eagerly awaits his "bony" treat before settling down for a well-deserved nap. Honestly, I couldn't find a better hiking partner—Dozer truly enhances every outdoor adventure!
