Miao Village Basha, near Congjiang (Guizhou).
Basha is the last village of China where 2000 Miao inhabitants are allowed to wear a firearm, the old rifle that used to fight and hunt.
Basha è l'ultimo villaggio cinese dove i 2000 abitanti, di etnia Miao, sono autorizzati a indossare un'arma da fuoco, l'antico moschetto che utilizzavano per combattere e cacciare.
Don't take them for granted. These are my closest family and some of my best friends. Will, Jenny and Sky. Wills a youngster and has a lot to learn in many ways, as we all do. Jen is an old girl and her age made me want to get my camera out. Jenny changed my life. I was a chemist with good prospects and good job that I loved, but my heart has always been in the animal world. Sky is a pleasure and an angel. Meet my family, again! I appreciate them and love them. If you've got this far take a moment to appreciate yours.
Cased 1/6th plate tintype of three hunters with two dogs. Two are armed with muzzle-loading double shotguns, but the young man in the back has a "Kentucky rifle" with a full patchbox. No, it isn't a left handed rifle. Tintypes are "mirror images", so everything is reversed.

Four little pups
Were seen on the roadside
Dumped in the garbage
In a little wooden box.
Sure they will survive
And thrive among children of the street

Nancy was being a great dress model, mostly. When another dog came by, she made sure it knew the dress didn't affect her usual bad-assery.
caught the girl in the act of trying to steal the rawhide that is wearing a red ribbon and is intended for Biscuit the standard poodle. told her "don't move", slipped the headband on, and one shot later, done!
My roommate's friends brought over their gentle dogs on their way to travel to fun places this weekend.

If I had to describe Brit in one work it would be sweet. She is really really charming. This expression is reserved for when she is most happy and relaxed. The look you get when you say Hi from across the room. The sweet look that makes me melt. ;)
