oooH hi!

Did you miss me?

We have returned from our epic journey into

"The Great Wide Open!"

So happy to sleep in my own bed!

*******************************

Ok here are some important numbers

21 Days of vacation

5 US States visited

2 Canadian Provences visited

1 Canadian Territory visited

1 Mt Denali the highest peek in North America! (20,310ft)

16 Bears seen in the wild!

We had such a wonderful experience in our travels to and fro Alaska.

If asked would I drive to Alaska again? I would harken to the words of Sir Edmund Hillary

"Adventuring can be for the ordinary person with ordinary qualities, such as I regard myself. - Edmund Hillary"

No I am good thanks, on to the next adventure!

This Image was taken at the Alaska State Fair Grounds in Palmer, with the 6,398-foot Pioneer Peak towering in the background.

The reason for this journey was for Cava (Harry is still a Green Dog in training) to participate in Alaska Dogs Gone Wild, Summer Solstice Flyball Tournament!

What a fantastic venue to hold an event like this with 19 Flyball teams from 11 US states & Canadian Provences making the long trip to Alaska to participate!

2 Clubs even drove all the way from Maryland!

*******************************

I will share a few more images in the coming days.

It's good to be home!

Peace! 🐾☮️🐾

These two take every opportunity to pose for the camera that they can get.I set up to shoot flowers with a Lensbaby velvet 56 and they would not get out of the way!

Songtitle of Pink Floyd as inspiration for this fantasy creation that I made with the Ai from Midjourney and Adobe Photoshop

on our way to dinner a pair of cutest dogs, "may I take a picture?" "sure , go ahead they are used to it"

and no wonder they are, and they look straight into the camera knowing full well I am taking their picture,

a strong entry into "cutest dog ever" contest and they also look like hunting dogs to me?

have to deal with a few shots taken in Adelaide so "photo a day" will take a rest for a few days, other *isms* from adelaide here:

Georgia is sensing something that Guardbird has missed. For 2016: one photo each day (107/366)

The dogs smiling back at me on top of the hills, on a lovely warm spring day. Even Dilly looks happy here... which is an achievement because she usually doesn't like the camera and puts on her "I am very superior" look whenever I try to take her picture ;-) After I took this the dogs came over and quietly sat with me for a bit, just enjoying being out with the "pack". Even Barney was calm, forgetting about chasing tennis balls at least for a few minutes.

Recently he has started to roll over and relax on his back, when we sit together on the side of the hills... Seeing this always makes me happy as he used to be such a nervous dog and at one point would never have felt relaxed enough to act so vulnerably outside. People passing by often smile to see the big dog sprawled against my leg, tail wagging slowly, grinning as I tickle his tummy and little Dilly curled up on my other side! :)

Thanks so much for getting my last photo of Barney to front page of Explore! I was really pleased, as it is one of my faves of him, so thank you for all the lovely comments and faves, I'm glad others like it too :) Thanks also to my contacts for the support during my exams... my test of Friday seemed to go pretty well, only 2 more to go now, this time next week I'll be all done! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend...
