Purchased at this year's Trans Lancs Rally at Heaton Park.

The Moto Metal 909 Skull is another popular wheel because of its unique look. Steve ordered a set of these MO909s in 20x9" and has us ship them to the UK for him. It's been a little while since he received his wheels, but the picture was worth the wait. Looking good!

Parked at the shopping centre was this 1997 Dodge Ram SS/T Truck which has been imported into Australia.

On June 1st, 2014 at 4:16pm, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) responded to multiple reports of a vegetation fire at 400 Wall St. near Granada High School in Livermore. Arriving units found a good-sized working vegetation fire in the grass behind the school and immediately went into offensive mode. Upon arrival, LPFD Battalion 9 assumed Wall IC and requested a second alarm, summoning several Type 1 engines to assist the Type 3 engines and Patrols with fire attack as well as to provide access to a water supply. Alameda County Fire responded two battalion chiefs (Battalion 2 and Battalion 3) and a Type 3 engine (Engine 308) to assist as well. Because the fire was also threatening a couple structures nearby, LPFD Truck 96 responded to the call also for structure protection, but cleared by the time I arrived on scene.
Besides Truck 96, the total balance of apparatus on scene included Alameda County Battalions 2 and 3, LPFD Battalion 9, Alameda County Type 3 Engine 308, LPFD Type 3 Engines 394 and 399, LPFD Chief 90, LPFD Patrol Engines 491, 495, 497, and LPFD Type 1 Engines 90, 95, 97, and 98, making for a total of 15 pieces of apparatus on scene!
LPFD Engine 399 (E399) is a Westmark Type 3 pumper built on an International 7400 chassis.

Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Engine 495 (E495) is a 2004 Ferrara Patrol unit built on a Ford F450 chassis.
LPFD Engine 399 (E399) in the background is a Westmark Type 3 pumper built on an International 7400 chassis.
Here is a gripping cultural mystery encompassing photography, sculpture and modern film. A famous photograph of 29 September 1932 depicts iron workers on lunch during construction of the RCA building at Rockefeller Center, New York. The photograph is 'Lunch atop a skyscraper' by Charles C Ebbets. In 2001, sculptor Sergio Furnari created a work commemorating the photograph. The 2012 film 'Men at Lunch' by Seán Ó Cualáin examines the lives of the 11 men in the photograph and received its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The sculpture, mounted on this occasion on a Dodge RAM 1500 with (apparently) a modified grille, was in Toronto to help to promote the film. However, when doing my research for my notes, I observed that there are only ten figures on the girder which I have photographed from two angles. Where is the 11th man? A figure was previously stolen in January 2007; is there a copycat in Toronto? An earlier photograph by osukura clearly shows the 11 figures.

These cool Ram 5500's belong to United Towing of Livermore. I photographed these recovery trucks and dozens more in October at the California Tow Truck Association's annual parade to raise awareness of the state Move Over Law.
