The Gamble House, built by architects Greene and Greene in 1908, is considered one of the most architecturally significant historic homes in America--but it gained movie immortality as the residence of Doc Brown in “Back To The Future.”
Doc's Barn in the Movie "Back to the Future 3" was made with LEGO!
The building instruction is in Rebrickable.
Doc's lab in 1885 was built on two 32x32 baseplates. The front area includes the famous ice cube maker and train model. The rear area is his living quarter. The garage in front of the ice cube maker is compatible with "LEGO 21103 The DeLorean Time Machine" (not included in the instruction or part list).
Hope you like this minifig-scale build!
"I apologize the crudity of this model."
The phrase "flux capacitor" has appeared in more serious contexts. U.S. Patent 6,084,285 describes a "lateral flux capacitor having fractal-shaped perimeters." The idea being to make a capacitor in an integrated circuit, some of whose capacitance exists between two conductors on a single layer (hence, "lateral"). The device is not a lateral flux-capacitor but a lateral-flux capacitor; that is, lateral modifies flux, and lateral flux is attributive, rather than flux capacitor compound and lateral modifying capacitor.
The power required is pronounced "one point twenty-one jiggawatts" (or "jigowatt"). This pronunciation of "gigawatt" is correct (as derived from its SI unit prefix giga); in fact many amateur radio operators from that timeframe correctly pronounced "giga" as "jiga", although it is more commonly pronounced with two hard "g" sounds as in "golf."
But while "jiggawatt" is a correct pronunciation, it is an incorrect spelling. Nevertheless, the pronunciation is considered humorous by many people.

"Well then WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY?"
"The more appropriate question is, when the hell are they?"

I visited Toys R Us this morning and was so excited when I found this Lego set on the shelf! It has been out of stock on the Lego website since it's launch 2 days ago!
I feel that it is justified to be included as a 'morning glory' shot because I bought it before noon!
And also for anyone that follows my photostream, you may have picked up on my slight obsession with Lego! Although this is my first Lego related shot for a while!
Great Scott! These Troopers are jumping back to a time long, long, Long ago…

"Wait a minute Doc, are you telling me you built a time machine ... out of a DeLorean?" Photo by Kat.
Back to the Future Lego set up by Doctor Awesome I felt I had to grab a shot of this. Just simple tripod on bulb using remote and simple 2 matches lit. I think it came out pretty good for a 5min set up.

“Oh wow Rick, the Time Machine from the movie!”
“No Morty! This, this is ingenious! Thats not a time machine, it’s a LEGO kit. A LEGO kit that WASTES time! Now grab the wheel Morty, grandpa’s had too much to drink.”
What an excellent, satisfying build!
The action features work excellently, the details are on point and all three display options look great.
Awesome addition to the upscale cars. May have to do another shoot with this thing before it gets settled into a permanent display.

I usually don't post pics of works-in-progress, but I think I'd like a little advice this one. For those who don't recognize him right off the bat, that's Doc Brown from Back to the Future, specifically from Part III when he saves Marty from Buford Tannen with the shoot-the-rope trick.
There is one major and one minor change I'll definitely be making when I get the appropriate parts - I'm gonna switch out the Henry Jones torso for a Short Round (which is eerily close to what Doc's actually wearing in the scene), and I'd like to add a Pearl Gold hook as a sight on the end of the barrel, for that extra bit of flair.
Beyond that, I'm also not entirely satisfied with the head choice for Doc, nor with the method for connecting the telescope to the rifle, but better options for both elude me.
