The MeckTech Computer Kit Program provides adults without computers the opportunity to receive a free, refurbished laptop to aid in accessing the Internet for job search, meeting online, writing resumes, helping children with homework, and accessing the modern economy. For Spring 2023, the program will distribute approximately 20,000 laptops to individuals in need.
As part of the distribution process residents pick up laptops after choosing a preferred pick-up time. Dozens of volunteers with Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, community volunteers, and Digital Navigators from the Center for Digital Equity distribute thousands of laptops during each event, equipping residents with the means to succeed.

Turns out Pennyslvania has some interesting liquor laws. Beer is sold only at distributors, like this one we found in an old mechanic's garage, and they can't sell six packs. 8 packs of tall boys is okay, but 6 cans of 12 ounce beer is illegal until January 17.
Public Service, now Commonwealth Edison Co. Electric Distribution Sub Station. An old wooden structure was the first station, but on the 24th of January, 1921, it was struck by lightning. It ignited some gas, and it blew up, killing Theron D. MaCready, who was in charge at the time. The original building was built in 1910. Electricity came to town in 1897. 3-9-1991

More than half of the population on the African continent works in agriculture. Despite its large economic share, the sector has failed to harness its full potential, due to a lack of modern tools, inability to maximize productivity and difficult access to financial markets. The Strengthening African Rural Smallholders (STARS) programme has improved the professional conditions for thousands of smallholder farmers and has given them a fair chance.
Access to finance for Ethiopian farmers
STARS is a partnership programme between Cordaid and the Mastercard Foundation. The five-year programme (2017-2021) develops market systems to improve access to finance and markets for over 200,000 farmers in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Senegal. In Ethiopia, STARS has improved access to finance and markets for 66,000 farmers, impacting a total of 330,000 household members.

For building an educated society, one should not overlook the education level of parents, neighbors and adult members of the community because they are influential for the education of children. Considering the fact Lodhie Foundation was looking for a program which make the young students teach their parents, neighbors and adult community members. Young Students of DIL Schools taught their illiterate parents or adult community members in evening time. The students educated their parents/ adult community members to read, write and understand, now they can communicate and understand like an educated person and both parents and students feel pride. Lodhie Foundation appreciated such a unique initiative of DIL Foundation and gifted solar Powered LED Lights to the students who taught their parents and the community adults who learned from their juniors without feeling any shame.

As Earth warms, the geographic range of Antarctic krill is projected to continue shrinking southwards and into shallower water. This range contraction will have important ramifications for the Antarctic marine food web, as krill are a key food source for fishes, penguins, and marine mammals.
