Distribution: Indian subcontinent and tropical Africa, in scrubs of drylocalities.
1.5-2m tall much branched shrubs. Branchlets stellate hairy; Leaves 1.5-2x 1.5-3cm, ovate, serrate, glabrous above, stellate beneath, 3-5nerved. Flowers 1-1.5cm across, white, solitary or 2-3, axillary or leaf opposed; Corolla 5 spreading, Stamens many, ovary 2-4celled. Drupes 0.8-1cm across, 4 lobed, yellowish, edible. Central Coast Red Cross volunteers partnered with the California Medical Association to pass out free personal protective equipment (PPE) to doctors and clinics in need in the greater Watsonville California area. 89 boxes of PPE were distributed. Each box contained enough PPE to last two months. This was accomplished safely without having recipients leave their cars.
