Great Egret
The great egret (Ardea alba), also known as the common egret, large egret, or (in the Old World) great white egret or great white heron is a large, widely distributed egret, with four subspecies found in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and southern Europe. Distributed across most of the tropical and warmer temperate regions of the world, it builds tree nests in colonies close to water.
The great egret is a large heron with all-white plumage. Standing up to 1 m (3.3 ft) tall, this species can measure 80 to 104 cm (31 to 41 in) in length and have a wingspan of 131 to 170 cm (52 to 67 in). Body mass can range from 700 to 1,500 g (1.5 to 3.3 lb), with an average around 1,000 g (2.2 lb). It is thus only slightly smaller than the great blue or grey heron (A. cinerea). Apart from size, the great egret can be distinguished from other white egrets by its yellow bill and black legs and feet, though the bill may become darker and the lower legs lighter in the breeding season. In breeding plumage, delicate ornamental feathers are borne on the back. Males and females are identical in appearance; juveniles look like nonbreeding adults. Differentiated from the intermediate egret (Mesophoyx intermedius) by the gape, which extends well beyond the back of the eye in case of the great egret, but ends just behind the eye in case of the intermediate egret.

Garça-branca-grande

Pilanesberg Game Reserve
The Pilanesberg Game Reserve is located north of Rustenburg in North West Province in South Africa. The park borders with the entertainment complex Sun City. The park is currently administered by the North West Parks and Tourism Board.
The area is fringed by three concentric ridges or rings of hills, of which the formation rises from the surrounding plains. Pilanesberg is named after a Tswana chief, Pilane, the 'Pilanesberg Alkaline Ring Complex' is the park's primary geological feature. This vast circular geological feature is ancient even by geological standards as it is the crater of a long extinct volcano and the result of eruptions some 1,200 million years ago. It is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its type in the world, the rare rock types and formations make it a unique geological feature. A number of rare minerals occur in the park.
Scattered throughout the park are various sites that originate from the Iron Age and Stone Age and show the presence of man from those periods in these areas.
The park has an area of 572 square kilometres (221 sq mi). One can travel through in a standard road vehicle as although most of the 188 kilometres of track are not surfaced, they are well maintained.
The Pilanesberg is not in a location which the Big Five animals would naturally inhabit, however they have been brought into the 550 square kilometres of African bushland

Distribute One HDMI Source to Four Locations
The 1x4 HDMI splitter allows set-top boxes, DVD players, D-VHS players and other HDTV devices with HDMI output to be connected to four or more HDTV displays.
How It Works
Gefen's 1x4 HDMI splitter is a distribution hub that sends the same video output to four or more HDTV digital displays by itself and many more displays if multiple splitters are connected together.
The HDMI splitter is connected using a HDMI cable from the HDMI source to the HDMI splitter input. There are four HDMI outputs. HDMI Output #1 is the Primary output, where the characteristics and capabilities of the Primary Display are retrieved and then used to drive all the other displays.

Retail companies that assisted with the coat drive included Old Navy stores at the Mills at Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth, Hamilton Marketplace in Hamilton, and Aviation Plaza in Linden as well as Sears and Boscov’s of Woodbridge Center Mall in Woodbridge.
The annual community outreach event has been a small gesture of the memorable impact troopers strive to make towards those they proudly serve and is reflective of their mindset to bridge the gap between those in uniform and communities that have minimal interaction with the New Jersey State Police.
While the winter weather is often unpredictable, one thing that remains certain is people needing winter coats to make it through the cold. Through their generosity and desire to help the greater community, the New Jersey State Troopers and their partners continue to help Elizabeth Public Schools students stay warm each year.

he Barn Owl (Tyto alba) is the most widely distributed species of owl, and one of the most widespread of all birds. It is also referred to as Common Barn Owl, to distinguish it from other species in the barn-owl family Tytonidae. These form one of two main lineages of living owls, the other being the typical owls (Strigidae). T. alba is found almost anywhere in the world except polar and desert regions, Asia north of the Alpide belt, most of Indonesia, and the Pacific islands.[1]
It is known by many other names, which may refer to the appearance, call, habitat or the eerie, silent flight: White Owl, Silver Owl, Demon Owl, Ghost Owl, Death Owl, Night Owl, Rat Owl, Church Owl, Cave Owl, Stone Owl, Monkey-faced Owl, Hissing Owl, Hobgoblin or Hobby Owl, Dobby Owl, White-breasted Owl, Golden Owl, Scritch Owl, Screech Owl, Straw Owl, Barnyard Owl and Delicate Owl. "Golden Owl" might also refer to the related Golden Masked Owl (T. aurantia). "Hissing Owl" and, particularly in the USA and in India, "screech owl", referring to the piercing calls of these birds.[2] The latter name, however, more correctly applies to a different group of birds, the screech-owls in the genus Megascops. The barn owl's scientific name, established by G.A. Scopoli in 1769, literally means "white owl", from the onomatopoetic Ancient Greek tyto (τυτο) for an owl – compare English "hooter" – and Latin alba, "white".[3]
The Ashy-faced Owl (T. glaucops) was for some time included in T. alba, and by some authors its Lesser Antilles populations insularis and nigrescens still are. The Barn Owls from the Indopacific region are sometimes separated as Eastern Barn-owl, Australian Barn-owl or Delicate Barn-owl (T. delicatula). While this may be warranted, it is not clear between which races to draw the line between the two species. Also, some island subspecies are occasionally treated as distinct species. While all this may be warranted, such a move is generally eschewed pending further information on Barn Owl phylogeography. wiki
FAO has distributed farm inputs worth over US$ 623,000.00 to over 6,500 food insecure households in The Gambia. This FAO-supported programme covered households in the North Bank Region (NBR), Lower River Region (LRR), Central River Region (CRR) and Upper River Region (URR)). These regions have stunting rates above the national average. The intervention aims to reverse the trend through increased crops (rice, maize, groundnuts) production and productivity. A Carbonati-Ustic Argosol and landscape. These soils distribute mainly in low mountain and hilly areas in Yanshan Mountain Range, Taihang Mountain range and Tailu mountains. Developed on weathered materials from limestone, they have lithological feature of carbonate within the range from the surface to 125cm depth below ground surface. With quite heavy texture, they usually present stronger calcaric reaction. The vegetation is shrubs and grass clusters composed largely of calciphytes, such as Lespedeza davurica,Vitex negundo, Hemerocallis midaendorfii, Themeda jabonica, and a few of Platycladus orientalis. (Photos and notes courtesy of China Soils Museum, Guangdong Institute of World Soil Resources; with revision.)
In Chinese Soil Taxonomy, Argosols have illuvial accumulation of clay in soils with medium activity of clay. In Soil Taxonomy these soils are commonly Alfisols, Ultisols, or Mollisols.
