Today I missed the direct train home from work and ended up taking a longer route.
None of the following is a complaint. I do, of course, fully understand the need for social distancing measures. I did though want to record how I felt on the journey.
It was a very strange experience: seats taped up ‘out of use’, hardly any passengers at rush hour, lengthy one way systems to navigate. It all felt like landing in a very different country, but with elements of familiarity. It was the most surreal journey I’ve ever made.
The picture was taken at York and shows 802218 with a Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street service. To be fair, the TPE trains have clear but discrete social distancing signs in the form reservation type labels with a red and cross/green and tick to indicate where to sit.

This duck solo-paddled along the Sheboygan River. Perhaps he is a poster-creature for a social-distancing ad.

Here I zoomed in the focus on some rugged peaks of the mountain side that easily showed the volcanic remnants of an eon long ago in the Chisos Mountains. With some work in Capture NX2, I was able to bring out the feel for a lower exposure by using a Low Key CEP filter that really complemented the settings with its colors in greens, yellows, browns, and oranges.

Another shot from another location. Not a very good image because it was a loooong distance between the birds and the camera.

The Milky Way Galaxy or just Milky Way is a spiral galaxy in which the Solar System is found and therefore the Earth. According to the observations, has a mass of 1012 solar masses and is a barred spiral; with an average diameter of about 100,000 light years, they are about 1 trillion km, is estimated to contain between 200,000 million and 400,000 million stars. The distance from the Sun to the center of the galaxy is about 27,700 light (8.500 pc, ie 55 percent of the total galactic radio) years. The Milky Way is part of a group of about forty galaxies called the Local Group, and is the second largest and brightest after the Andromeda Galaxy (although it may be the most massive, a recent study by showing that our galaxy is 50% more massive than previously believed.
Already have a plan? I had few for this weekend if the weather allows it, but more on that soon. I had past few very good ones too. This is one of many images that we shot at H.Hill. I guess I need to have a shot from there every season. Beside my good buddy Chris we have many reasons to go back. But let me tell you, sometimes it feels like chasing unicorns :) To capture good light, great fall color, descent sky and the church lights all in one frame and all of that from the air, it’s quite a challenge. We live 2h away and I’ve been trying to get that for last 4 years. I finally got it. What do you think?
Hope you appreciate my rather wacky sense of humour - plants before and after social distancing!! Both shots taken last year! HMBT!

went to this spot bit tides were out. very tricky to get this location right, as it's hard to get back when the tide comes in. you can get trapped. :s

Exam next Friday. Potentially going camping afterwards so I should get some more interesting shots there I assume! I have 1-2 more photos to upload from this day at the beach. I'll get around to that sooner or later.
My first explore! Woohoo! Thank you to all my lovely contacts! Kind of fitting that my 100th upload is my first explore, no? Please feel free to browse through some of my other beach work!
On another note, I hope you're all well. Thanks for your kind comments all.
Take care,
Ben
