Griggs University, a premier distance learning school in the United States, held a graduation for it's first MBA program in Vietnam. A graduation at the university's headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, had 28 graduates receiving their diplomas. This AKF supported studio allows teachers to record lessons or learning courses for use by distance learning students, resulting in many more students having access to learning opportunities.
As Des Moines Public Schools completes the school year through distance learning, making sure every student can make use of online educational resources has been a big priority. For example, over the course of two weeks in April, DMPS distributed nearly 21,000 laptop computers to students. In addition, providing student with internet access is just as important. DMPS is working with Mediacom to address this need. The school district is providing “hotspots” to students as a temporary solution as Mediacom then connects nearly 2,000 households to cable modems. The effort is being funded by DMPS, Mediacom, and the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines.
We followed along as Matt Watrous, a Meidacom Technician, completed work to connect students with internet on Thursday, April 30th.

We choose the Saugus Distance Learning Academy option for school for 2020. Which means he'll be online for the whole year, unless we petition to go back to his base school.
