Todenham, near Moreton-in-Marsh, stretches out for some distance until it reaches the church of St Thomas A Becket with its tall west spire. There are fragments of a Norman church, but the whole building was rebuilt in the C14 with a north chapel added in the early C16. The spire was struck by lightning falling through the nave roof, it was rebuilt in 1772. The extravagant east window with flowing tracery was restored in 1879 with stained glass by Lavers, Barraud & Westlake. The C13 font was restored in 1773 and the churchwardens had their names inscribed. A magnificent 700 ear old yew tree graces the churchyard.

To remind you where to stop
And when to get off
When to get off...
