Do you remember how long have we been far away from each other ? ( :

-umm.... it's been over 1 year ( :

Do you know how much i miss you?

....

What i'd do to have you here

What i'd do to have you near...

I wish you were here

The sun is filling up the room

And I can hear you dreaming

Do you feel the way I do right now?

I wish we would just give up

Cause the best part is falling

Call it anything but love

And I will make sure to keep my distance

Say "I love you" when you're not listening

How long can we keep this up, up, up?

And please don't stand so close to me

I'm having trouble breathing

I'm afraid of what you'll see right now

I give you everything I am

All my broken heart beats

Until I know you understand

And I will make sure to keep my distance

Say "I love you" when you're not listening

How long can we keep this up, up, up?

And I keep waiting

For you to take me

You keep waiting

To save what we have

So I'll make sure to keep my distance

Say "I love you" when you're not listening

How long can we keep this up, up, up?

Make sure to keep my distance

Say "I love you" when you're not listening

How long til we call this love, love, love?

”Martin.”

“Yes, Pop.”

“You have to leave here. There’s no room, there’s no place. Do you understand that?”

“I see that now, but I don’t understand. Why not?”

“I guess because we only get one chance. Maybe there’s only one summer to every customer. That little boy, the one I know - the one who belongs here - this is his summer, just as it was yours once. Don’t make him share it.”

“…Alright.”

“Martin, is it so bad where you’re from?”

“I thought so, Pop. I’ve been living on a dead run and I was tired. And one day I knew I had to come back here. I had to get on the merry-go-round and listen to a band concert. I had to stop and breathe, and close my eyes and smell, and listen.”

“I guess we all want that. Maybe when you go back, Martin, you’ll find that there are merry-go-rounds and band concerts where you are. Maybe you haven’t been looking in the right place. You’ve been looking behind you, Martin. Try looking ahead.”

5KM Finish and 10 Mile Race Finish: This is a photograph from the annual Ardagh Moydow Glen Community Games 5KM and 10 Mile road races, fun runs, walks and challenges which were held in the heritage village of Ardagh, Co. Longford, Ireland on Saturday 26th February 2022 at 13:00. This race has grown year on year since its first running a few years ago. This is the first time the races have been held in February due to the postponement of the traditional Christmas time fixture from January 2nd 2022.

The 10 mile race takes in the local 'Ardagh Mountain' which is a 1 mile continuous climb starting at the 2 mile mark of the 10 mile race. There is, of course, then the reward of a long down-hill stretch after the summit. This forested hill or mountain was once a famous centre of pre-Christian religious worship and is believed to have been the home of a pre–christian diety named Midir (the God of the Underworld), and also a Prince of the "Tuatha De Dannan", the fairy people of Ireland. The hill or mountain itself is named after Brí, the daughter of Midhir and her doomed love, Leith who are reputed to be buried on the hill. The top of the hill offers impressive views of the landscape, particularly north to Longford town and towards the south. The remainder of the race is challenging but fair, with some much smaller and less steep hills in the race profile. Miles 3 - 7 benefit from some downhill as the race route travels around the base of the hills. The roads are predominantly rural roads with little traffic. There is a gradual climb in the final mile of the race which brings runners back into Ardagh village. The 10 mile race finishes in the same finish as the 5KM race. Water stops and adequate stewarding at junctions is provided.

The 5KM race takes a loop around the heritage village of Ardagh. This allows runners, walkers and joggers of all ability to take part over a more manageable distance. Overall this is a very well organised race with accurate courses, good marshalling and traffic control and excellent after race refreshments. Annually, this 10 mile race is one of the longest road races held during the Christmas period anywhere in Ireland and has appeal to runners who want to add a longer distance race to their festive calendar of running. This year is unique in the fact that it is both the first running of the race since 2019 (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and the hosting of the race in February outside of the normal Christmas schedule. Ardagh is probably County Longford's most picturesque village with many historical and architecturally important features. It is located about 6 miles from Longford town. There has been settlement in the area since around the 5th century.

Dear Runkeeper, look at these two screenshots from my iPhone 5 using the most current app version. One I took just as I ended my run, showing 7.66 miles, and another a few minutes later, showing 8.47 miles. That is the same run, yet two different results. This is not the first time Runkeeper has "auto-adjusted" after I finish a run.

This error is very frustrating as I think I'm doing a slower pace over a shorter distance so I'm wondering why I am so tired and then boom! It turns out I ran farther and faster than the app indicated.

I love this image of a couple together viewing things far from themselves, shot in the late 1950's. I feel there might be something revealing of the couples relationship.

Aerial perspective or atmospheric perspective refers to the effect the

atmosphere has on the appearance of an object as it is viewed from a

distance. As the distance between an object and a viewer increases, the

contrast between the object and its background decreases, and the

contrast of any markings or details within the object also decreases.

The colors of the object also become less saturated and shift towards

the background color.

With appropriate social distancing and masks, its time to get out and enjoy the spring. One of our favorite spring time walks is through the gardens at Red Wing Park.

Red Wing Park, a 97-acre park located off of General Booth Blvd, is known for it's beautiful gardens and annual Cherry Blossom Festival.

The Red Wing Park property was acquired by the county in 1879 and was formerly known as the "Old City Poor Farm." It was developed into a park by the City in 1966 and is now home to many gardens, including the Reba S. McClanan Fragrance Garden, established through the joint efforts of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation and the Council of Garden Clubs of Virginia Beach, and the Miyazaki Japanese Garden.

I had alot of trouble getting this shot, I dont think I did anything different to the other shots I have taken of the Moon in the past. Its so typical that I couldnt see the Lunar Eclipse as it was clouded over (just as it was when there was a Blue Moon a couple of months back), and last night was a clear night, thought I would get out the back and get a few captures. I will be using this shot for the Scavenger Hunt for HPAD under the heading of Distance.

A few facts about the moon.

Only 59% of the Moon is visible from Earth.

The Moon rotates at 10 miles per hour compared to the earths rotation of 1000 miles per hour.

From Earth, we always see the same side of the moon; the other side is always hidden.

This photo means a lot to me because I am in a long distance relationship.

Distances come in many forms. Whether it be that one partner doesn't pay attention, lives far away, or a loved one is no longer on this Earth with us.... distance effects so many people in every day life. It's incredible how difficult it can be to cope with sometimes.

Distance makes you appreciate what you have or had. It makes you miss things. It's a blessing and a curse.
