A nomad I will remain for life,
in love with distant and uncharted places.

An extended family of ten Grey-crowned Babblers have been routinely doing their rounds in the golden/sunset light and delightfully demonstrating by communal dust bathing, how not to do social distancing during the corona virus pandemic. I hope you enjoy a bit of the taste of social distancing in the Cemetery and in the Air Museum in Araluen across the street.
Using the chart on dofmaster.com, using a 35mm lens, at f/8, put the focal distance to about 17 feet, I believe I was able to get everything in this pic to appear sharp

Far limit Infinity
Total Infinite
In front of subject 27.5 ft
Behind subject Infinite
Hyperfocal distance 2.78 ft

Using the chart on dofmaster.com, by being about 20 feet away from the plate, my focus and setting the end limit to infinity, I was able to get the background sharp.

Far limit Infinity
Total Infinite
In front of subject 14.6 ft
Behind subject Infinite
Hyperfocal distance 2.78 ft

Spotted two hillwalkers up somewhere up the hills on Loch Lomond. Nah, not really. This is Ken and Alan (my best mates fella). We all headed to Loch Lomond just so I could take photos... and also to catch up with my good friend that I dont get to see much of these days as we live soooo far apart! You can just see Ken carrying my tripod. Aw bless!
This is the second exercise in the Lighting 102 article at strobist.com, which examines the distance of light.
The point of this exercise was to show that using a) distance and b) aperture we can control what David refers to as depth of field of light.
sometimes I experience this heightened feeling of being detached from others - their ways of communication, affection, understanding, wholeness just escapes me and it feels like I could just cross that line and plunge into lunacy and make the choice to never return.
This was an at-home lab where students chopped up and microwaved a red cabbage to use the juice as an indicator to tell them if a substance is acidic or basic. They tested whatever they could find around the house: milk, lemon juice, alka-seltzer, soda, etc.
I also dropped off pH indicator strips to each student so they compared their results with the pH strips.
"tengo lo que vine a buscar
y lo poseo
para siempre
sólo queda ser certera
con los disparos
acertar
con las distancias
saber
cómo acercarse"
"I have what I came for
and possess
forever
only remains to be accurate
with the firing
hit
with the distances
know
how to approach "
