This puppy is not as innocent as she looks....
We had to bring her back to the vet this week as she has not stopped peeing all over the place. She was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago with a UTI, and it has not improved. :-( She is now on stronger antibiotics and a special diet which is supposed to dissolve the crystals in her bladder.
Yesterday I went on a walk with some friends and brought my camera. Normally I am alone during my shoots haha, so that was kinda awkward. When I came home and looked at the photos I was a little devastated, because I wasn't that happy with what I got. After editing around and trying different things I finally got this photo. I don't know if I like it that much but that doesn't matter. I am just proud and happy I went outside to shoot. Sometimes it is about the journey, not about the destination.

A very late and final upload for Mind: Path to Thalamus. I was looking through folders and realized I forgot to upload this earlier. Anyway, there are two versions of this game which means a few different levels and endings. Current "Enhanced Edition" uses Unreal Engine 4 and there is no free camera available as I found. I personally prefer the Unreal Engine 3 version mainly because of its incredible final chapters.

Dissolving morning fog gradually reveals the scenic contours of the Amper Valley. The sun is already showing strength in the foreground while it still takes some time in the distance, so I had enough time to make this picture with the pixel shift technique to gain more color and motif details to be able to make a large print later.

The South African Defense Force comprised the South African armed forces from 1957-1994 when the Apartheid Regime dissolved. It was mainly composed of White South Africans who alone were subject to military conscription. During their existence, SADF troops were used in crushing opposition to White rule in South Africa. Some units were deployed to fight alongside Pretoria's allies in Angola, Mozambique, and Rhodesia with their enemies mainly consisting of African nationalists and communists. They were vehemently opposed to colonial rule in Africa and South Africa was seen as an old colonial regime. While South Africa's allies did not win in any of the conflicts the SADF participated in, it was still a force to be reckoned with on the African Continent. The SADF would be replaced by the South African National Defense Force in 1994.

The flagellation column is a work of art from the Catholic era. It was created by master craftsman Hans Witten in 1515 and was intended for the monastery, where it served as an image of devotion and meditation for the monks. It was not installed in the church until around 1820.
The entire work of art is carved from a single oak trunk with a diameter of 1.20 metres; only a few parts that extend beyond this diameter have been added. It is approximately 3.80 m high. Living spaces-environmental studies
Emma was, unusually for my photography, a professional model. Originally from California, Emma is a travelling model, who was spending a couple of weeks in London while touring the world (including Nepal) with her model/photographer friends. Emma contacted me to ask for a photo session, so here she is in the Airbnb she was sharing with her friends.
The first wooden church in Sokółka was built by King Zygmunt II August in 1565, for the needs of the royal court, while the parish was equipped by King Zygmunt III Waza. This church burnt down together with parish buildings in 1796.
The current brick temple of St. Antoni Padewski was built in the years 1840-1848. At the beginning of the 20th century, two naves, side chapels, sacristy behind the main altar and auxiliary rooms were added.
This church gained fame after recognizing the "Eucharistic miracle" that happened on October 12, 2008. The priest who distributed Holy Communion fell on the step of the altar consecrated messenger. According to the procedure, the communicator is placed in a vessel with water to dissolve. After a week, the communicator almost dissolved and a red spot appeared on it, as if slightly clotted blood. Pierwszy drewniany kościół w Sokółce zbudował król Zygmunt II August w roku 1565, dla potrzeb dworu królewskiego, natomiast parafię uposażył król Zygmunt III Waza. Kościół ten spłonął wraz z zabudowaniami plebańskimi w roku 1796.
Obecna murowana świątynia pw. Św. Antoniego Padewskiego wybudowana została w latach 1840-1848. Na początku XX wieku dobudowano dwie nawy, kaplice boczne, zakrystię za ołtarzem głównym i pomieszczenia pomocnicze.
Kościół ten uzyskał sławę po uznaniu "cudu eucharystycznego", który wydarzył się 12 października 2008 roku. Kapłanowi rozdzielającemu Komunię Świętą upadł na stopień ołtarza konsekrowany komunikant. Zgodnie z procedurą, komunikant umieszcza się w naczyniu z wodą celem rozpuszczenia. Po tygodniu komunikant prawie się rozpuścił a na nim pojawiła się czerwona plamka, jakby lekko skrzepniętej krwi. Dwa wykonane niezależnie badania patamorfologiczne w Uniwersytecie Medycznym wykazały, że badana próbka ma postać tkanki podobnej do mięśnia sercowego człowieka w stanie agonii.
W 2011 roku "Cząstkę Ciała Pańskiego" wystawiono do publicznej adoracji w kaplicy MB Różańcowej.

Am Platz Xàtiva drehte ich mich vor dem Nordbahnhof (Estació del Nord / Estación del Norte) im Kreis herum und betrachtete interessiert die Gebäude. Genau gegenüber vom Bahnhof blieb mein Blick an diesem Gebäude etwas länger hängen. Es stammt aus der Zeit des Art Déco und wurde 1929 von der spanischen Versicherungsgesellschaft "La Union y el Felix'" beim Architekten Enrique Viedma Vidal in Auftrag gegeben. Das Gebäude im Stil des Neo-Barock sollte der Sitz der Versicherung in der Region València werden. Nach deren Wunsch sollten im Erdgeschoss Geschäfte untergebracht werden. Die Archive der Versicherung sollten im Keller Platz finden und der erste Stock war für die Büros der Versicherung vorgesehen. Darüber sollten Wohnungen entstehen. Auf der Spitze des Gebäudes wurde eine Statue platziert, die das Logo der Versicherung (zuerst eine Feuerversicherung) darstellt, nämlich einen aus der Asche erwachsenen Phönix mit ausgebreiteten Schwingen und einem jungen Mann aus der griechischen Mythologie (bei dem es sich allerdings nicht um Ganymed handelt). Erbaut wurde das Haus in den 1930er Jahren während des spanischen Bürgerkriegs. Die Versicherung wurde zweimal von anderen Versicherungen übernommen, existierte jedoch bis 1998, als der letzte Eigentümer Allianz das Unternehmen auflöste und die Geschäftsbereiche in die Allianz Versicherung eingliederte. Ob dieses schöne Gebäude heute anderen als Wohnzwecken dient, vermag ich nicht zu sagen. Aber der eindrucksvolle Phönix auf der Spitze ist geblieben !
