I went to the lake last Wednesday, the day the snow came in - we had 7 inches of snow overnight that night, which is highly unusual for us. Several ducks were enjoying the lake, when they took off en masse. Soon I saw the reason: this bald eagle had flown in to check on the dining options.

This osprey was calmly watching for a fish, but the crows kept harassing it. This was one of the flybys.

A visit to the forest was very much needed to stretch my legs for an hour. I walked around just as the mist was lifting! But! Just Imagine how it could have looked if I had got there earlier ...And it was really misty!

Quote.....

You can't change anything without causing some degree of disruption. It's impossible, that is exactly what change is. Some people are uncomfortable with the disruption that change causes, but the disruption is necessary if anything is going to change.`(Afeni Shakur)

Nadine Ijewere is leading the way for a new generation of artists. Through her unique visual language, the 28-year-old British photographer shows that fashion is fun, and beauty multifaceted – regardless of Eurocentric norms. Everything’s possible, there are no limits. Ijewere doesn't care about old rules, she prefers to write her own. Nadine Ijewere shot numerous VOGUE covers and campaigns for brands like Nina Ricci and Stella McCartney. “Beautiful Disruption”, the photographer’s first institutional solo exhibition, is on display at C/O Berlin now.

Put yourself Damme canal on the ferry Kobus. This ferry is completely manually operated and is suitable for walkers and cyclists. You can find it at the end of the Killer Street in Lapscheure. Have fun!

The Damme Canal (French: Canal de Damme. Dutch: Damse Vaart or Napoleonvaart) is a canal in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The canal links Bruges with the Western Scheldt at Sluis (now across the frontier in The Netherlands). It was constructed on the orders of Napoleon Bonaparte who wished to create a canal network in order to permit the efficient transport of troops without the risk of disruptive interventions from the British navy.

When I gave a Composition in the Field Class in San Francisco we passed along a bar on the street side of the Ferry Building. It has a nice wall of beer cans. We learned about patterns. Also, a photo with a pattern gets more interesting if there is something that disrupts the pattern, here the water container.

I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a JPG exposure, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
