Special:

- This first generation 2-door Coupé body Pony Car (1969-1974) was designed by Carl Cameron, built on the Chrysler E-platform (like the Plymouth Barracuda) and assembled in Hamtramck (Michigan) and in Los Angeles (California).

- Everything changed at Dodge (and all car manufacturers) when the 1973 oil crisis hit the United States. The government passed legislation (1972) requiring engines to have the ability to run on low lead or no lead gasoline. Government safety and emission regulations, and increasing insurance premiums meant the horsepower rating and size for all manufacturers was on the decline.

- Engine power was now rated in SAE net horsepower, meaning theoretical horsepower with all accessories in place.

- So this 2+2-seater fixed-head Hardtop Coupé was for now the last series Challenger, only available with two detuned V-8 engines.

- Dodge re-used the Challenger name again for its second generation Challenger from 1978 until 1983.

- They were available as this Hardtop Coupé and as 2-door Rallye Hardtop Coupé (replaced the R/T series in 1972) with a faux brake vent on the fenders and a shaker hood scoop (1972-1974: 16,437 units built).

There's a disc golf course outside one of the mess halls. Its probably one of the last things I'd imagine seeing on a military base. Not only were people using the course, but inside the mess hall building there was tons of graffiti involving disc golf.

Não está a venda! Acho que esta é a disco menos procurada....mas, acho um espetáculo!

I went to the Atlanta Steeplechase today. It was my first horse race to attend.

They also had disc dog competition. I had a lot of fun photographing the dogs.

Taken April 12, 2008.

Hope disc rotor on my bike.

banhemo-nos em cachoeira;

banhemo-nos nus.

yeah, there's more and more...

A little experiment i thought i'd try, using water drops on an old CD, ive seen this kind of image done before but decided to give it a try myself and play around with lighting to generate some fantastic colours.

Some close up action of some molluscs in the soft morning light

With lots of saturation and vibrancy.

Will reshoot without the cheesy chart in the background.

5 drop, the metallic look of the drops, was achieved by placing a cdr disc behind the glass. by me

This Locomotive was manufactured by the Diesel Locomotive Works , Varanasi to co commemorate it's 50 Years of Celebrations serving the Indian Railways.

It is a EMDGT46PAC and is manufactured under technology transfer. It is a Special Locomotive because of having Head-on-Generation (HOG) capabilities , AC CABS , DISC Brakes and Special Horns.

It is one of the best looking Locomotives of Indian Railways and a constant admirer among Indian RailFans(Ferroequinologists)

felt discs for brooches but then Im thinking how brilliant it would be to do hundreds of these and make into massive artwork

The Disc Dog competition was one of the events at the Dog Bowl in Frankenmuth, Michigan, last week, and this pair put on a great show.

A volte mentre ascolto musica mi piace fotografare le copertine dei dischi - in vinile, ovviamente...

These aluminium discs are covering the Selfridge Building in Birmingham. I love the patterns that I can get by photographing

it close up.

For more views of this fascinating building have a look at this set.

This image from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope shows IC 2051, a galaxy in the southern constellation of Mensa (The Table Mountain), lying about 85 million light-years away. It is a spiral galaxy, as evidenced by its characteristic whirling, pinwheeling arms, and it has a bar of stars slicing through its centre.

This galaxy was observed for a Hubble study on galactic bulges, the bright round central region of spiral galaxies. Spiral galaxies like IC 2051 are shaped a bit like flying saucers when seen from the side; they comprise a thin, flat disc, with a bulky bulge of stars in the centre that extends above and below the disc. These bulges are thought to play a key role in how galaxies evolve, and to influence the growth of the supermassive black holes lurking at the centres of most spirals. While more observations are needed in this area, studies suggest that some, or even most, galactic bulges may be complex composite structures rather than simple ones, with a mix of spherical, disc-like, or boxy components, potentially leading to a wide array of bulge morphologies in the Universe.

This image comprises data from Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3 at visible and infrared wavelengths.

I always see twin spot gobies in profile, mainly because that is how they present themselves since in this orientation, they look like a crab which they are trying to mimic. By accident, I got a shot of one facing me and noticed how strange it's pelvic fin looked. I never realized it's pelvic fins are fused together making a suction like disc which they use to cling to surfaces or sift through sand.

"Elige la vida. Elige un empleo. Elige una carrera. Elige una familia. Elige un televisor grande que te cagas. Elige lavadoras, coches, equipos de compact disc y abrelatas eléctricos. Elige la salud, colesterol bajo y seguros dentales. Elige pagar hipotecas a interés fijo. Elige un piso piloto. Elige a tus amigos. Elige ropa deportiva y maletas a juego.

TFL - SMOOTH

CD with a nice smooth surface, loaded with some smooth tunes!

Hey guys, today I accidentally found my old Harley-Davidson Flhrc RoadKing model, unfortunately in a really bad condition and barely usable again sadly.. Anyways before I threw it into my thrash bin, I dismantled those fancy brake discs, why not right? So what do you think, can those discs be usable with lego? Or should I use my old tooth gear pieces for discs instead?
