This is The Burr Disc that marks the most Easterly Point in Ireland, situation in Ballyhalbert County Down Northern Ireland..
Just a little picture taken with my compact in black and white...
The Burr Disc is a metal Disc with the Letter 'E' in the centre to make the most Easterly point in Ireland which is situated at this point in Ballyhalbert County Down Northern Ireland. I decided to upload a wee series of pictures that I took this day in Ballyhalbert. I thought this a interesting wee picture as it shows the abandoned trawler 'Ocean Adventure' in the background which gives more of a scale to the other pictures I've uploaded of this boat. The main focal point though in The Burr Disc and Asha just adds a more personal touch to this picture for me...
I couldn't resist making this (Terrible) image with all the fabulous fun things that are out in November's Disco for Genre Round :)

First image of the full Earth disc from the Meteosat Third Generation Imager. The first image from Meteosat Third Generation – Imager 1 (MTG-I1) reveals a level of detail about the weather over Europe and Africa not previously possible from 36 000 km above Earth. The higher-resolution images provided by the instruments on board give weather forecasters more information about the clouds cloaking much of Europe and visible in the equatorial region of Africa and the Atlantic Ocean. Sand and sediment in the waters off Italy are also visible, as well as dust or smog being carried from south Asia. This degree of detail is not possible from the instruments on the Meteosat Second Generation satellites. The image was captured at 11:50 UTC on 18 March 2023 by the Flexible Combined Imager on MTG-I1.
