One is never disappointed when they have the opportunity to observe the Great Blue Herons at courting time. They show such great affection for one another and work so beautifully together building their nest for their future young. It is a wonderful love story and we are so privileged to share this special moment !!
Wishing you a blessed Staurday !!!
Bit disappointed I came here at all. I usually avoid here like the plague. This scene has been absolutely murdered in the last few years especially by the long exposure brigade. There is a reason why it is so popular though. I got a few nice sunset shots anyway but would have preferred to be up at Clogher Head, (while I was driving down here there was some gorgeous sidelight on the Great Blasket). The sun was also in the wrong position, further out to right, I was hoping it would be just off on An Fear Marbh. A couple of months later would probably be ideal.
Disappointed with this, but as I made the walk, burning off all that celery, I shall upload it to make it seem worthwhile! I was hoping for an even sky, with the sun shining through a gap, but sadly the bank of cloud seen drifitng in form the right soon covered the sky, and there wasn`t even a slight glimpse of a reasonable gap, but I can always try again another day.
I have been let down by someone I was very close to. Now is the time to strive for a new beginning ...
Word got out that Flying Scotsman was passing nearby on its way back from the 200th rail celebrations in Derby. Alas no water resupply was made available so although Scotsman was in light steam she was diesel propelled during her trip from Derby to Shildon.
This view was taken from Carleton Road bridge and sees the consist in the charge of 66101 closing in on Pontefract Baghill Station.
From my point of view this combination wasn't too much of a surprise but the rest of the folk on the bridge probably weren't rail enthusiasts so they had heard the word on the grapevine and fully expected to see Flying Scotsman under its own power. They were too chuffed.
disappointed to see the nest i`ve had the privilege of watching the last two weeks has been interfered with i hope they don`t abandon it at this stage
Thank goodness they haven't abandoned it

I was disappointed to not be able to see the night sky before dawn this morning and there was no sunrise color to speak of, but we had some nice "pogonip" ice fog putting a coating of frost crystals over everything as the sun came up, so the morning turned out well for photography after all.
I'm a little disappointed by the noise in the shadows, but that's just me being über picky. When Mother Nature puts on a show like this, complaining about a bit of noise is just stupid. And when you've got a sunset this amazing, it's just not right to not share it with the world immediately! Oh, post-processing? How about nothing but resizing for web and a bit of unsharp mask? And the craziest thing is that it was even more intense in real life. Downtown Vancouver, BC. July 25, 2009.

At first I was disappointed that there was a fine mist over the lake, but it really made for some beautiful photos. Color version later.

I really appreciate your comments and faves. I'm not a hoarder of contacts, but enjoy real-life, honest people. You are much more likely to get my comments and faves in return if you fit the latter description. Just sayin. :oD

Disappointed and sore
And in my thoughts I have bled
For the riddles I've been fed
Another lie moves over
We spent the day today at Wildlife Photography Hides in Lincolnshire in the Dyke Hide hoping to get some good shots of the Red Kites & Buzzards amongst numerous other species of wildlife that can show up. Unfortunately our prize subjects were a little elusive today and I think the stars of the show today were the Grey Squirrels that put on an almost constant show throughout the day. I certainly wasn't disappointed as it's always an enjoyable day being out observing our wildlife.

Sadly the demise of one of the most established travel agents and carrier has been a major topic recently.
I have a lot of empathy for all the staff at Thomas Cook, they have always been polite, patient and immensely helpful.
I also feel for all the customers who were disappointed at the loss of their holiday and those who were delayed returning home.
As I understand it the administrators and Thomas Cook Staff who worked on with no wages did a magnificent job in ensuring the safe return of their customers.

After being disappointed with an accidental tripod shift the other night, I wanted to get back out and shoot this scene again. Because of the rising tide, I couldn't stay in the same location I was in last time.
There was light - medium cloud cover that cleared as the night went on. I began shooting around 11pm and went until 1am. I was hoping for a complete composite with all of the star trails over the two hour span but because of the clouds, the tone of the sky was too inconsistent and the trails were too hidden earlier and clear later.
Additional lighting was used and included:
2x Mini-Maglites
2x LED flashlights
1x Maglite 3 D-cell torch
Total exposure count
5 @ 10min
1 @ 12 min
1 @ 3 min
All exposures are f/4 @ 100 ISO
Disappointed. I bought the L&B Metaclic Studded Jacket and after trying the demo I bought the FP. When I got home I found out the textures demoed at the store do not match what you see "in "world". The jacket's colors are much more vibrant and rich at the store but when you go home or to a club the variations disappear and it's subtle hues of the same "shiny" texture. I tried both the demo and what I bought at home, at a club, and in my studio to find again. What you see in the store is not what you get. This is the first time this has ever happened. I guess I have to start taking demos home to try on which is very inconvenient.
Ich kann es nicht verstehen. Es sieht traurig aus. Ich bin enttäuscht, wütend und entsetzt, das in Frauenfeld viele schöne Bäume entfernt werden..... 👎😥💔
This hermit thrush is definitely disappointed that it decided to sneak into the woods that are still covered in snow here. At least it got a little break from the clouds and snow this afternoon.
I always get a bit disappointed when I see a beach full of stones rather than golden sand, until I opened my eyes properly and realised there are some interesting shapes to find.

I was disappointed. My dark blue jacket turns this light shade of gray that is pretty neat, so figured this light blue shirt woud do something interesting instead of just getting a wee bit darker. This hardly even looks like an infrared shot. Except, if you View Large On Black you can see all the noise grain. This was a one second shot at ISO 200 at high noon on a day so bright I cried looking into the sun.
Come sempre, quando sto per uscire, vengo trafitto da uno sguardo pieno di pietà e compassione :)
Buon sabato

Sadly I am not happy with those new changes here on Flickr at all. Finally got used to the last design, and then it changes again, to the worst yet. Maybe it's time for a blog, I am not sure yet.
Why those big blank spaces on each side? For more advertising? Automatic tags which are as wrong as they could be? Violation of your own terms. Why change something over and over again which wasn't broken in the first place? I visited Flickr more than ten times a day, I felt like "coming home". Now I feel like a stranger again and don't want to continue trying to get used to something, until it changes again. It really would have been nice to ask first, or at least give us the opportunity to choose the design! I don't like facebook, I don't like Instagram and I hate for Flickr to become more and more mainstream. I truly feel sad.
