Sunday...this was taken Friday when temps were on the rise. I worked today handing out gear for the cold and some hot soup and drinks. Can you imagine your loved one sleeping in those temps....we called 911 for 2 such people today. I was dressed and could only handle 1hr in the cold and wind....9,000 homeless in Toronto. (that is only what we know of) Definatly need to do better so street people can stay in shelter and feel secure rather then threatened....😥

I continue this project with the doll and emotions ...

Enjoy your day ☼

Merci ♥

I heard a boat had gone onto the rocks at Bournda Island, so I took a walk there today. I was a little disappointed that it was not something a bit more substantial but nevertheless, it was something different . It turned out to be a decent sized tinny with damage to the right side. It could have been washed into the ocean from one of the many floods on the east coast of Australia. A police ribbon has been tied to the front. A big sea this day and I was surprised it was still there but could then see it was firmly stuck in the sand adjacent to the island channel. Bournda National Park Far South Coast NSW.

For some years I have wanted to visit Skomer to witness the Spring gathering of Atlantic Puffins and other seabirds and last week I finally made the trip and was not disappointed.

There were over 22,000 puffins this year and I could not believe how close we were able to get to them - touching distance.

I am still editing the vast number of photos I took and will post more of them in the next few weeks.

I am pleased you are enjoying the image and would recommend visiting Skomer if you get the chance.

I had a very early morning meeting, the advantage of which is that I saw the sun come up -- albeit briefly. Another day to breath; now be thankful (cue Fairport Convention right about now): www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXNM0dpHMq4 Musical factoid, Richard Thompson, one of the founders of Fairport Convention, which many credit as the main influence for what we now call Folk Rock, is the only performer I have seen live five times. He has not once disappointed me in a performance. The opportunity in Toronto to see him in a small venue with about 100 people is perhaps the highlight of my life in terms of live music performances.... He played for almost three hours and we soaked up every little bit of it.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Сонця промені зібрав, лист клена на землю впав. Таке життя. 😥

Sometimes when you go out in pursuit of certain species of birds you can often leave an area quite disappointed at times?

However, it's often the regulars in places you visit that can save the day. In this case, this lovely little Meadow Pipit popped up out of nowhere to ignite my flame and save the day....Thanks for looking

Our final stop on our brief trip to the Isle of Skye was Elgol. Somewhere I have been wanting to go for some time now and I was not disappointed!

Disappointed with the provincial public health policies or lack there of, I decided to record one aspect of our health care system which will retain its beauty for a long time to come, namely the architecture of its fine hospitals. I took a Sunday walk along a stretch of the University Avenue where at least 5 major hospitals are located, depending on how you count them, and took some shots. This is No. 1 of the Hospital Walk Series. The Princess Margaret Hospital has been renamed The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in keeping with its function. Part of the University Health Network, it is affiliated with the University of Toronto and is now the largest cancer centre in Canada and one of the largest 5 in the world. The cancer centre has several new and modern looking extensions to the old building, but in my eyes this one built in 1915 is the most appealing. Photo best viewed in large.

Westport beach at Easter weekend a warm but very hazy day. Surfer walks out of the sea feeling a little disappointed.

Geyser el Tatio is the third largest park of this type in the world (and the highest altitude in relation to sea level). For those who know the Yellowstone Park in the United States or the Haukadalur, Iceland can be a little disappointed with the waterfalls of El Tatio that rarely reach 2 meters in height, but the spectacle here is with the thrill of walking between the walls of smoke that reach more than 30 meters high and get very close to the bubbling water.

To take the risk-free ride, just follow the marked tracks and do not get too close to the fountains. Do not put your hand in the water that you will burn badly, also avoid inhaling the steam of the geysers because it is loaded with chemicals and sulfur, walk slowly, without running and feel any ill be just tell your guide who will be together of the group helping to make beautiful photos.

This image was a result of personal resistance to my own reluctance to journey out and capture some potential magical moments. I had just returned from a week-long photo project on the other side of the world, and was completely jet-lagged and exhausted.

In addition, I had just spent nine hours in a corporate environment that I really didn't care to be (and rarely ever wish to be). When I got home, I was completely drained. Still, the commute home and my observations of the sky and atmosphere were communicating that we could expect a very pleasant evening for photography in Seattle. (This is significant if you know how wet and rainy this particular Spring season has been this year, sans sunshine).

When the photographic senses start tingling, it is excruciatingly difficult to ignore them, even when I want to be wrapped around my blankets in bed.

Alas, I ignored my body's needs in exchange for my photography. Typically (and fortunately), I'm rarely disappointed upon making this type of decision. This image is the latest product from listening to my photographer's intuition. I am very happy with this one.

Sure enough, as soon as I got home, I slept, but only for a while. I instinctively woke up in the middle of the night, and began some post-processing so I wouldn't lose the remaining tingling sensations.

I have always wanted to cruise on the Broads, and

I certainly wasn't disappointed. It was superb!!

I could see there were some nice skies developing out of my office window so I wandered over to the common in my lunch hour and wasn't disappointed.

Disappointed there was no clouds the 5 days in Yosemite! Just this light fog. Oh well , I'll take whatever I can get.

View of Meteora rocks from my hotel room balcony, I was a little disappointed that the monasteries were not lit up during the blue hour. This was using the ambient night light with high ISO, I'm adding a day version for comparison.

My friend John Flower had booked a flight in a Spitfire at Headcorn Aerodrome, Ashford Kent today.

Sadly on the third flight of the day the aircraft suffered an hydraulic leak on the suspension leg on landing.

John was bitterly disappointed as he had been looking forward to his boyhood dream immensely, I will accompany and photograph him when the adventure is rescheduled in the near future.

Fortunately I managed to capture a few shots of one of the earlier flights, the moody sky certainly added to the ambience.

June was a tough month... Not only did I have my transmission go out on the truck. Their would be NO storm chasing for about 3 weeks. Of course its June and we did have few good storms pass though and I was disappointed that we couldn't go get em all.

Back in the saddle for this last June storm. Nice for almost end of season development. Under the base this storm no tornado was going to form due to it being undercut. Nice rotation in this cell though, and it was what we came for.

Our wonderful Queen Elizabeth ll has died at the age of 96!

She died at Balmoral Castle, surrounded by her family.

We now have a new king!

Thank you your Majesty, for all your wonderful years of service!

God bless you! ❤️💜💙

This is Windsor Castle, much loved by the Queen! 😞

Можно созерцать этот цветок и что-то для себя понимать. 😇 Или не понимать - тоже вполне себе вариант. 😥 Rudbeckia laciniata (?) семейство Астровые (Asteráceae).

Sanderling

15.21.23.10.2025

I’ve always enjoyed photographing sanderlings...they’re my favourite shorebird. For the past 15 years, however, I’ve longed to see and photograph purple sandpipers. On several occasions, I travelled long distances hoping for close views, only to be told “they’ve gone” or “they’re over there”...usually meaning 100 yards away and completely inaccessible.

Earlier this year, I finally had the chance to photograph purple sandpipers on the west coast. Unfortunately, I was dealing with a secondary cataract and other complications in my eye, which made it difficult to see clearly. Thank goodness for modern autofocus cameras! I managed a few shots of the sandpipers at their evening roost. They weren’t quite the images I had envisioned, but I was happy with what I got.

That said, I wouldn’t have gone home disappointed either way...I had an absolute blast with the sanderlings. The image I’m sharing here might be a bit pedestrian, but I like it, and perfectly content to show it.

surprising what 2 days in work does to flowers, or is that the sunshine we've had?!

Disappointed that not all the flower detail is in focus, but specifically wanted to try (at least) to focus on the stamen

The County of Essex – Scenes of Galleywood

These are just a few images of the that I took on my longest walk since my illness in early May last year. I don’t think I will be much better than I am but it is definitely better than nothing.

There were quite a lot of changes in the fields, still not much in the variety of Wildlife and Flora although I wasn’t disappointed with what I did find. The walk was a lot harder than I expected. Where there had been heavy rain a lot of the footpaths showed signs of heavy wear from tractors etc. and horses and made the going a bit hard. However, we did make it.

I hope you enjoy these images.

All the Best and keep safe.

Her life was never perfect. She always did her best to please everyone, even at the cost of her own happiness. This would in the end be a grave mistake. She knows now to never sacrifice her happiness for someones enjoyment. In the end she learned the hard way. She is not sad or hurt by the actions others took upon her. She was just disappointed in her self for allowing it to go own for so long. Her happiness would be her own. She would only do things that would never sacrifice her dignity, pride, happiness, and love. This was her and hers alone. The select few she would choose to open up to she knew were and would be wort it. Even if in the end it all shatters . You can love a thousands times over again, you can break even more. Its how you get up and move on with your life that makes or breaks you.

All night my heart makes its way

however it can over the rough ground

of uncertainties, but only until night

meets and then is overwhelmed by

morning, the light deepening, the

wind easing and just waiting, as I

too wait ( and when have I ever been

disappointed?) for redbird to sing.

I have trouble keeping up and thanking everyone individually so I hope you will accept this generic "thank you." I would like to thank everyone who takes the time to view, comment and fave my photographs. It is greatly appreciated and encouraging.

I am disappointed in the price increase here at Flickr but will stick around and hope the most of the will also be here next year.

These words came to my mind on that autumn morning, while I was trying to catch up the morning light, but was disappointed of my shots...until this one.

Disappointed sparrowhawk after failed strike at Adel Dam.

Slightly disappointed with the real colours that evening though loved the clowds. Just couldn't tweak it to what I liked in photoshop so decided to go really radical. Tried black and white: didn't like it either. So settled for blue: totally unatural and not sure I should really post it. Anyway... why play it safe... Sleep well!

Len Pettitt and I took a walk on the Strathcona Riverside Trail to see if the Eagles were nesting this year. We weren't disappointed. The female was on the nest and twice we saw the male fly over. She rose up briefly when he came in and then settled back on the nest.

If all goes well for them their young ones will fledge in mid July.

This nest has been occupied continuously since 2004. Local naturalist Dick Dekker has been documenting this site since then.

It did look beautiful through the open door tonight, and I was not disappointed. Then the guy taking care of the church kindly showed me the different lighting they have (thanks again!). Whoever designed them did a very fine work.

Thank you everyone for your visits, faves and comments, they are always appreciated :)

😥les meilleurs choses ont une fin.

Disappointed the sun began setting behind the clouds, Ilfracombe bay looks a good place for photo's :-)

Disappointed that the sun didn't show up above the heatherfields we left and slowly walked back to the car....

😥I Guess Thats My Fait In This Sl Life

i Be Fine But It Will Take Time😥

Growing to an astonishing 6 m in diameter, Grevillea 'Poorinda Royal Mantle' is a prostrate, evergreen shrub.

It is a hybrid between Grevillea laurifolia and Grevillea willisii.

25 years ago, my father and I planted 6 of these on what I call 'the slope', an area of my gardens which I leave to its own devices and it has become a favourite area for local birdlife and other fauna. These plants have not disappointed in regard the area of ground covered, spilling down the slope just like a mantle and at this time of year, the mass display of their flowers is truly quite incredible.

The leaves vary in shape, some are lobed and others have smooth margins and are quite leathery in texture.

The purple-red-pink flowers can be seen from late winter, through spring in toothbrush type clusters at the end the short branchlets.
