Disappearing up the hill
Where the air is very still
Where passion, now does hide
In the mist, deep inside
Above the steps, that kiss the sky
Where the mist, blinds every eye
On 23/11/22, The Redcar blast furnace (on the right) was demolished, changing this part of the Teesside skyline forever.
Well we were waiting for some clouds to move in to make the sky more interesting. The problem we encountered was they moved in so quickly we almost missed our shot. 5 minutes later it was totally overcast and Mt Rainer was barely visible. Happy Sunday... Kris..
Bored the other night, I took myself to the seaside to try and get some lovely shots of the sunset and then some more of the lighthouse shining its light over the sea. Thing is, it's over a two hour drive away so I missed most of the sunset and I forgot my tripod so I couldn't do anything once the light had faded!
I did manage to get three usable shots though. In this photo I managed to catch the last bit of the sun as it disappeared behind some clouds. The sunset that night was a bit of a damp squib anyway really so I was a bit disappointed after having driven such a long way.

Some of you say, "Joy is greater than sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater."
But I say unto you, they are inseparable.
Together they come, and when one sits, alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.
Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.
Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.
When the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.

Took this a couple of weeks ago with the Fence Friday theme in mind - I really like the lines, the perspective which takes you towards the silhouette of the trees and hedge in the distance.

Been waiting for mist to take a shot of one of my favorite piers down in Leith.
Normally there are quite a lot of distractions in this shot so pleased with the effect the mist produced.
Not sure if I should crop this to remove the left hand post and centre the pier so any feedback appreciated.
Left it in colour as like the seaweed but mono would be OK to I reckon

As our town grows, more and more farmland is disappearing to urban development. This abandoned barn will soon to gone.
My view of what is happening to many of the farms that were in the family for generations...slowly disappearing, fading away.
I put these jars on the window ledge to dry after washing the grunge off. (I found them on the floor of an abandoned barn, covered in muck & pigeon poop) lol

One day it was just sitting there, then one day it just disappeared !!
