Today's story and sketch by me #1398, Is a tragic tale about the two medical patients from the Planet Woomou, which is located in a dimension unknown to any of our very knowledgeable deputies. Deputy Cosmo only learned about the Planet Woomou, after we removed the patient from the nearly dead ancient oak tree. The patient named Roscoe had his medical chart attached to the end of his Gurnee, which only read Roscoe was getting a hair transplant procedure, an the bed and all of the equipment were property of the Planet Woomou Sasquatch Hair Institute. Please do not remove equipment from these premises. We are guessing the Dude in the wheelchair, was also at the institute when the two, and the ancient oak were snatched by a Big Blue Dimension Dust Devil and dropped here on this Lovely Tropical Volcanic Planet we call Budahunga. It will surely be an interesting tale when we interrogate these two, but those will have to be stories for another time, until then Tata the Rod Blog.

"In particolare negli animali di dimensioni più piccole, più che nei più grandi, è possibile vedere all'opera l'esattezza del ragionamento. Per cominciare, si può prendere a esempio, fra gli uccelli, la capacità della rondine di costruire i nidi. [...] Riguardo al nutrimento dei figli, poi, sia il padre che la madre si danno pena. Offrono il cibo a ognuno, sapendo discernere, sulla base di una certa abitudine, quello che ha già avuto la sua parte, perché non la prenda due volte"

Dimension dynamics

Round out

Today's story and sketch "by me" we are again into another time and

another Dimension, this time is June 15th 1926 the Dimension is "Z"

the one created by a Gypsy Moon Pie Shop owner in Broken Drum Indiana,

Zooelda retired from Goat Herding when she married her first husband

Wallie, who you see in today's sketch after she turned him into a

Spirit Tree and banished him here to dimension Z. Wallie was a marriage

of convenience, he owned many acres of the finest Indiana Goat Grazing slopes where she would park her Gypsy RV, it was a nice mini home very comfortable for her and her 17 cats. One Day Wallie said to Zooelda

she could only stay and graze her Goats if she would marry him, Zooelda never one to miss out on a good deal married Wallie and the

morning after they consummated the marriage, Wallie told Zooelda she

had to sell her goats to pay off his fine grazing slope acreage that

was mortgaged to the hilt. That was the first time anyone, let alone

a husband made her mad, so with a Gypsy curse she turned him

into a spirit tree and exiled him here to Dimension Z.

Zooelda was ready for a career change at the age of 77 anyway,

so after she sold the acreage, she used the cash to open the

Dimension Moon Pie Shop on route 66 in Broken Drum Indiana, that was

in the spring of 1920.

If you are wondering about Wallie he is never alone very long here

in Dimension Z, when anyone makes her angry like this guy, Andy

who did not tip her when he picked up his Chocolate Moon Pie and

coffee at the take away window, Zap he was here in Dimension Z

for a 24 hour time out curse, where he will have to listen to Wallie Moaning about his love for Zooelda.

About the flying saucer people they are hunting for their escaped

pet Gaweanian Dung Beetle who flew into Dimension Z to hide, but

that is a story for another time until then taa ta the Rod Blog.

This is a photo of the downtown Seattle public library. Built by Rem Koolhass, this piece of modern architectural art is as amazing on the inside as it is outside. This structure has been shot a ton so I really tried to give it something I hadn’t seen before. Out of all my shots that day, this one “popped” most for me. I brought out my wide angle lens (14mm full frame) and got really low to the ground for this shot. Standing on the corner, I could just barely squeeze in the entire structure. I waited for the sun to peek through the buildings downtown and captured the reflection on the side of the building, which I felt added to the dramatic nature of the structure. As you can see, there is a bit of lens flare, but I actually liked it this time. If you follow the flare trail, you can see it reflected all the way to the street sign on the left, which is ultimately why I decided to keep the street pole in. I really liked all the angles in this shot!

If you like this kind of funky perspective, here's another one of the Seattle Center.

I’m going to Blue Dimension

A poem by Peter S. Quinn

I’m going to blue dimension

Thru my own magic door

It’s truly a comprehension

And borderline of life’s seashore

In times on passing by

And giving its heart content

It opens to the blue sky

When feeling are in relent

It shows you the magic hours

And all that you can give

Its grass is of wild and flowers

That you on truly must live

To enjoy the moments they make

In magic that is passing on

When you from its dreams awake

It never is really gone

So open your blue dimension door

To see what is there inside

And what’s in your heart’s lore

In thoughts you did put aside

There are moments of their truth

In everything that we all do

It’s magic of infinity youth

As days come and get on thru

Unique glass round with bubble figures standing inside.

Today's story and sketch "by me" again we have gone back in time to

the year 1935, and in this sketch you see another victim of Gypsy Lady

Zooelda, owner of the Dimension Two Moon Pie Shop on Route 66 in

Broken Drum Indiana. Today's victim is a young man named Clyde

Whipson who like many before him on there way to work, or in Clyde's

case off to school at the prestigious "IGHA" Indiana Goat Herder

Academy, drove away from the take out window with a Banana Moon Pie

and a large coffee forgetting to tip Zooelda, and like so many Moon

Pie lovers before him who forgot to tip Zooelda, drove onto route

66 and was sent into another dimension with his moon pie coffee and

a Voodoo Doll with his likeness you see in the tree which arrived

the same time as himself, in the spirit tree forest where he will

have time out to reflect on his life on Earth and the importance of

tipping, he can discuss with the Spirit Tree, Zooelda's X husband

who was banished here forever, after forgetting her 83rd birthday,

which is a story for anther time.

Bert the Spirit Tree is actually Zooelda's 7th husband in the

Spirit Tree Forest, the other six have stories to be told another

time.

Bert will be talking to Clyde for the next 24 hours about tipping

and his boring life as a spirit tree, Bert is happy for Clyde's

company until his twenty four hour curse is over, and is returned

to the take away window at Dimension Two, until then and other

DIMENSIONAL PAINTINGS

We arrived to Monument Valley in a reddish sand storm, which created three dimensional photographs. see on large Monument Valley is located on Utah and Arizona border on Navajo land. The area lies entirely within the Navajo Indian Reservation on the Utah/Arizona border; the state line passes through the most famous landmarks.

The isolated red mesas and buttes surrounded by empty, sandy desert was an unforgettable site.

Non cresci più, a tratti è normale,

Non si arrende più, il mio cuore

Cosa ti resta?

Il folle ride, penso a lei

Accorgersi di vivere nell’estasi

Cose che accadono qui

Il paradiso, è lei e non ho più rocce leggere ormai

My mind

Come puoi vivere a testa in giù

Come puoi vivere a testa in giù

Come puoi vivere a testa in giù

Come puoi vivere a testa in giù

Making the most of my week off from work - I'm just waiting for my brother (www.flickr.com/photos/robert_stocker/) to make a comment to tell me that I've got too much time on my hands :)

Finding the right glue to build this cube from matchsticks was tricky - PVA and superglue were useless... Evostick's Serious Glue worked a treat!

Inspired by a book that I read just before Christmas called 'Hyperspace: A Scientific Odyssey Through the 10th Dimension' by Michio Kaku and how a 'Flatlander' may visualise a three-dimensional cube by examining it's shadow and how we with our 'three-dimensional' brains may similarly appreciate and conceptualise higher dimensions.

I decided to put those three big attractions together in one photo. My adorable Sigma 10-20mm made it possible, not as sharp as my Canon L lenses but gives you a whole new dimension. It´s amazingly wide.
