I took a rental car to drive from Milano Malpensa Airport to my hometown in the Swiss Alps. I decided to take the longer scenic route over the Bernina Pass and Flüelapass. Near Davos is a small chapel. There is no light pollution, so the lights of the chapel illuminates the surroundings.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Are you really reading this? Aren’t you –like most of them– in a hurry to see the next picture or do the next thing? No? Ah well. Pardon me, my friend, I misunderstood your intentions. Well then, turn your monitor brightness up and come sit by me. Listen into the night whose sovereignty over the land is mutely interrupted by the gibbous moon rising behind those ageless Cathedrals. The air is impregnated with a thick fog, which is trying desperately to melt into someone’s song. There are no birdsong here; they are asleep. Instead, amplified by the quiet, you can hear that timeless hymn hummed by your heart and those distant waterfalls. The zephyr, although well-intentioned, feels a little chilly to your skin. You shiver. Indeed, it feels a little chilly to perceive infinity. Don't worry. Here and now, time is not the fourth dimension anymore. You are.
Purple toadflax is a naturalised non-native introduced to the UK from Italy, supposedly several hundred years ago. It is very popular with insects and me, and grows all over our garden.

"Step up to the Portal"
This is the scene which I encountered last Sunday morning after rushing up from the jetty. Though I missed the pink rendition of the clouds, this is possibly one of the most striking and unusual skies I've seen anywhere! Also, the first time I've evern seen the phenomenon of 'anti-crepuscular' rays. I thought they were just theoretical but now I know, they are very real. Perhaps the obelisk was a temporary gate to another world ??
ps. this image is slightly different to a FB uploaded image. I really wanted to include the beacon on the right to balance the lighthouse on the left but due to slight motion blur, I've had to remove the last frame of the pano on the right. I think this one has more impact but I would not be offering it as a print due to that issue.

Don't really know how I feel about this just yet.
Thanks, Reanne, for the testimonial. Guys, go check out her stream. She's wonderful.

Cant go out, so had to get creative at home with some cooking oil, water, colourful wrapping paper and a torch!

"Because of Einstein, we often call time the fourth dimension. Special relativity shows that time behaves surprisingly like the three spatial dimensions. The Lorenz equations show this. Length contracts as speed increases. Time expands as speed increases."
